@@jarjarthestar Marketing and Internet, are the reason for that. 90% of RU-vid videos,either if it's about sharpening or advertising (reviews) etc,RU-vidrs have zero to little knowledge on the subject, so they spread nonsence that they repeat again and again, giving a completely wrong picture about knives. They think, that HRC number is and Steel name are both very important for example,where in reallity, it's the completely opposite and HRC numbers (hardness) shouldn't be taken that seriously, not only because it tells nothing about the quality or performance of the knife, but because it might not even be accurate (especially on mass produced knives). It's only a handfull of people, who really know knives.
