Measure twice, three times. Cut once! ... just take your time and make sure it's square.. that's why racecars have adjustable suspension cuz there never perfect.
Hell you’ll be all right, they weren’t square from the factory lol it’ll probably be better than new! We are really rooting for you guys! The unsung heroes a small tire!
I’m pulling so hard for you brother. I have so much respect for you, Ryan Mitchell, and Turbo John. I know RU-vid can cause your privacy level to hit crap 💩 levels but you three guys are great examples of doing what you can with what you have and sharing the process with us as opposed to others I used to watch and support regularly until they started giving sermons on how you should never approach them in any way unless it’s a venue they have setup for the purpose of extra promotion of themselves. The thing is, I get it. I can’t imagine being in a position where people are driving by my house and approaching me constantly when all I’m trying to do in the moment is work, eat, sleep or whatever. Thing is, I’m not on RU-vid (“yet”) asking for the attention. I truly admire you and your family and friends. Y’all are the kind of unit that makes the dream work and I’m here to watch it and I’m pulling like 🔥 for you brother. God speed🙏
I have an idea of whom you speak of. It's all good when we can understand eachother, at our level. Home built carries more pride for me vs bought. Bought has less character. I'm a people person, and like to mingle with people. Fame has its price. when you become caught up in fame, you push Joe Average away. Competition is getting out of control again. Even TurboJohn, best car he has owned, is now promod. it's a chassis car with Ford skin and almost Mustang dimensions. recently, Jimmy Dale hit a wall. I want him to regain himself. He said he was lost in the fame. Nascar is dead, And most of my racing watch, is following guys like CJ, and Team. I here to suppport.
Man CJ I'm cheering you on brother and I respect your fight and spirit to never quit and not let it beat you into quitting buddy I believe in ya and I have a good feeling you are going to get it done and it be right and back to kicking names and taking ass 😂😂 good luck 🤞🤞 I'm a southern Ohio guy and I'm rooting for y'all hard
I think you are going at it the right way slow and just keep checking your work and check again before you get to far ahead of your vision and it will come together buddy I have a good feeling about it and I know your going to whipp that car and show it your the driver and your not going to let it win no matter what lol we're all sending you good vibes and I'll even do a good luck dance to the mustang gods for you guys
No problem, we have faith in you and your work. Just keep it simple is out the window, lol. I know by next video you will have raggedy Ann looking much better.
This is how CJ managed to get me to cheer for a Mustang. With all the bad luck and direction small tire is going I don’t know how many people would have the fight to keep going. Ol CJ just hunkers down and says I’m not done and I’ll tackle it myself. Gotta respect that, it’s as real as it gets. Give it hell CJ!!!
Ive top and tailed a lot of cars, and i always tried to avoid that area because it is the toughest area on a car. The easy way involves butt welding, the best way is taking it apart at the seams like it was spotted together at the factory. It takes a lot and i mean a LOT of fanagling to get the two pieces back together and lined up just right. Drilling the spot welds lets you use a screwdriver in the holes to help pry and line the two pieces back together. If you need any measurements for square or tram gauges get them before you cut.
I wish you guys lived closer I would be more then happy to help! But I know cj will over come and shine putting this back together! Thanks for the update I appreciate you guys sharing your journey
👍Glad to see that you are getting after it yourself CJ 😁 Don't let it get you down, you are doing a great job and can't wait to see Raggedy back on the track!
CJI think you're on the right track. I would go for it and not look back. Think you got this all fails, hit up Robbie Leighton, see you if you'll come and help.
CJ there is a big Awesome God that loves you and Jess and Darren and Allie ! Spend time with him Seeking his Direction for your Racing Program ! Sorry if I don’t ask about Darren I seem to forget him . But he is Important as Well ! I will be Praying For Y’all!
If you cut both cars right at the bottom of the a-piller and right across the bottom of the toe board they should go right back together fairly easy. I took 2 totalled 5 litter cars and made one 25 years ago
It sucks that you haven’t had any good luck this year with stuff just take your time and measure a lot and write it down and take pictures you will get it done
Good luck brother I have complete faith In ya,Ohio needs back out there I know you're determined to get raggedy Ann back together, I know the wheelie contest is hurting without ya on the scene 😂 "wntw"hope all goes well seems to be a legit way keeping it fairly square anyway👍
If I didn't live so far away I would come help you I have 35 years of fixing total wreck cars doing jig is going to work win you cut the rocker panels sleve them you will be ok doing it take your time
If you gonna cut and butt the rockers i would avoid the firewall and bust the floor pan loose at the back and cut the rockers near the back of the door jamb and then cut the windshield posts and its apart. Top and tail the easy way. Place your cuts between two holes, trim holes or whatever is there and if just one hole is present measure from it and scribe a point to measure to on the other side of the cut and measure that distance to 1/32" so its precise. When you put the two halves back together and you get that distance back within 1/32 then you know its right and your ready to weld. Measure good before you cut and i like to use poster board or duct tape and a square to help scribe the rocker and get it perfectly straight and square where i can cut with a sawzall and its hard to stay on the line with the sawzall, the blade takes out 1/16" so i try to keep that in mind when cutting and its better to be long than short. You can use a come along and pull the two halves together and if its long every time you run the blade through will knock out a sixtenth. I like to use the narrow 1/4" wide tapes and when i measure i start on the one inch mark, so if i measure from inside hole to inside hole and its 4 inches i put the first inside hole right on the 1" mark and the second inside hole should land right on the 5" mark. You cant get a precise measurement if you use the end of the tape.
I know it's sucks waiting on someone to do something u hired them to do& not getting done, just like the ol saying goes, want it done u do it yourself!!
That white car needs to set to the side and collect parts!! You could build a front easier than what your fixing to do! Think super k member and straighten your firewall when you cut it loose!! That whole white car would make a great straight Raggy in case everything goes south again. Put all you best parts on it,you could start off street again
Not sure you or anyone in these "comments" care but I am aware of the location of "Stevie Fast Jackson's" old orange 93 Fox Body and its buyable. Jackson has stated that the car I'm speaking of is his 3rd Fox Body. The car is in Northwest Georgia.
Was that Boomhauer from King of the hill helping you? Sounds like he has a mouth full of rocks trying to talk lol hilarious and he definitely needs more exposure on the channel
Like all of us, it looks like you've got 50 lbs. if shit in a 5 lb. bag !! But there should be plenty of bits'n pieces to get it done at least. I have no doubt that it'll be a successful "graft". Sucks that the season is done for you, but next season should be even better right out the gate, so there's that to be happy about, right ? You'll be a busy boy !!!
good luck but i think i would be sellin some cars that are worth a few bucks that you got sittin around and buying a mustang thats a race car already and put your engine program in it
The latest on the s10 was in this video. To finish the turbo car it would be more cost and time at this moment . It will be ready next season but we are trying to make a few more major races this season
CJ, SEEMS YOUR LUCK IS REALLY RUNNING A SHIT ,DAWN BUD, I FEEL FOR YOU, first car crashed😮 ,second car crashed😮 ,use friend's s10 it blows up,😮 WTH Sounds like my luck isn't the only one hitting bottom 😮. No worries bud our luck has to change for the better soon or later...
I don't know how involved your cage is but would it be quicker to cut the cage out of raggedy anne and take all the rear torque boxes and put it all in the white car and leave the grafting two cars together to con artists and thieves.. I've done a circle car cage ectomey and put it into another and I've patched up steel but never done a whole cut the car in half and patch it back together. Seems like a lot of time compared to transferring all the good stuff to that white shell.
Transferring it would be a bigger cost, more time and work. It doesn’t seem like a lot until it’s all broken down. There are a few cars around in the Field that have had similar things done to them.
No time, work full time job, have a kid that needs 24hr care, daughter in college sport. Evening and weekends working on cars or racing them. We are ok with it being an area we lack on, some days will be better than others.
Sound work fine on this end. We have mics but we also can’t stop every time we are doing something like moving cars and have everyone put them on. Our help often shows up unexpectedly and is short term
