Barn Vlog #3 - NEW HORSE, Jump Schools and MORE! | ZL Equestrian

Idk if it possible, but could you do voice overs when you're riding about what is going on, what youre trying to accomplish, things like that.

Some video ideas could be like how you typically warm up horses/differences in your warm ups with different horses, barn vlogs are always fun to watch, literally any kind of riding lesson or tack lesson is something I’m sure people would love, anything with your journey with Zyn of course, ottb series, lunging demo/lesson (everybody does it a little different so it’s great to see new techniques), how you start work with new horses/decide what you will do with them, different sorts of therapies/treatments that you give your horses (similar to the pemf video), favorite exercises for your horses (on the flat or jumping), maybe like if you have any trails/trail obstacles/cross country jumps you could do a video of some horses doing those. Also, if you feel comfortable doing so, maybe if any horses have any health issues or injuries do an in depth video about the issue or injury, how you’re working through it, and just turn it into an educational thing! You have had so much experience already, and everybody loves being able to learn from you! Sorry this is really long haha, I just kept thinking of things as I was typing. I’ve loved all of your videos so far, and I can’t wait to see more no matter what you make!!

I would love to see all about your move so like moving vlogs, moving horses, gear ect. I love these kind of vlogs, maybe more jumping videos, even a tack haul video could be cool. Overall I love watching your videos literally would kill to have horses and a barn like u do xx

I've been binging your videos all morning before I head off to work. I don't own a horse, probably never will. Dreamed of one as a kid but my parents were smart enough to know that you don't just buy a horse on a whim bc a little girl begs for one. Haha. I just love and appreciate them. Anyway just wanted to say I love how educational all of your videos are. I found the supplement video fascinating, I had no idea horses needed so many things in there diet.. Obvi My parents did and hence why they said Horses were expensive and a huge responsibility and we wldn't be bringing one home to our tiny backyard in the suburbs. LOL. Anyway I appreciate watching anyone who is a master at there craft and extremely dedicated to there work. Your passion is obvious in your content and in turn enjoyable and educational at the same time.😊

I would actually like to see a clothing/boots-related video. I don’t think modeling everything is necessary, but it’s helpful to hear about various brands and quality- what you like, clothes that last, etc. I am a life-long dressage rider, but had a few years off for grad school. In that time, everything shifted from cotton blends and wool (probably aging myself here!) to tech fabrics and silicone grips. So, hearing the thoughts of someone who spends all day in the saddle is really helpful. Awesome channel, Zoey! Keep it up!!

I like the horse updates and the general status. Barn move info is always good.

i would love to see riding bloopers/fails and what kind of corrections you do when things go haywire

I think a video on seat and jump position would be super helpful! I've been riding for 21 years and only within the last year was it brought to my attention how bad my jump position is. Before it was just kinda like hold on and hope for the best with my horse, but when riding more skilled horses its been more evident that I need to work on it

Do like all your tack and what horses you use what tack on, favourite products, helmets boots just all stuff like that, what you find works and lasts longest for you

This probably doesn’t help much but I really enjoy all the videos you post! I love day in the life vlogs but I also really enjoy the educational videos! Even though I’ve been a horse person all my life, I feel you can never learn to much and I love seeing what different people do with their horses overall! I feel like I’m always picking up new tips and tricks! Also! What hot water hookup do you use? I only have access to cold water for my farm at home here and am looking into the hot water hookups so I can give warm baths at home. Love the video! Can’t wait to see what your next one will be! Do basic flat work!! I am in desperate need of some guidance for my mare!

My mare struggles really bad with hives/allergies around this time of year so I recently put her on a Total Health Enhancement supplement for allergies and they have been 100% better. Like she hasn't had any hives so far this year. Just thought I would mention that in case you'd like to check it out!

There is a perfect home out there for Zin. You just haven't met them yet. Tips on letting down horses fresh off the track would be keenly appreciated. Basically, when handed a grained up, race fit horse, what do you do please?

Idk whether you have watched her or not but there's a channel called 'yourridingsuccess' and she does demonstrations for different moved in dressage and how to improve your riding. It would be so great to have someone do it for jumping.

i like the length of this vlog!! and it'd be really nice if you could show your tack collection, maybe do a tack up with me? and a video of your riding gear / outfits would be great !!

Common problems with starting a ottb

I think vlogs are as good as any other thing! we get to see a lot of great things that you do in your day and that's amazing! Some other ideas could be givin tips of riding and showing more of your restoring an ottb series! 💛

I have a question that might be silly - why do you use the halters that buckle over the head rather than the ones that clip underneath near the cheek? I've always used the ones that clip because I've just found them to be easier (I always make sure they're always breakaway), so I'm curious if it's just a personal preference or another safety reason I'm not aware of?

Do you use the same saddle on each horse or does each one have their own? Also, i would like to start one of my mares in some basic jumping to do at some fun shows. Maybe an introduction to jumping series? Kind of how to get started and best tips/advice for amateur jumpers.

I really like how you don’t hide the not so perfect parts of your ride! Everyone horse has bad days and I love how you are open about it!

The saddle pads and outfits video, maybe you could do a video about what saddle pad you like and why, and what outfit/brand you like and why :) I loved your bits video, maybe something in the same line? And a video about the commun problem horses have, and what you found is the best plan of action (training, equipement, specialists, etc) to tackle those problems :) Still love the barn vlog everytime! :)

I’m going to share a story with y’all. For me it was funny probably not so much for my son. We lived in Maryland at the time and someone lost her horse on a trail in the state park. For days we all went out on horses searching. This particular day my son wanted to go the place we boarded my horse put him on one of theirs. Now we ride western never have ride English. Well he had to ride English that day as we are searching we came to a creek and his horse jumped it he was not prepared for that and didn’t even know how to prepare so I’m sure y’all can imagine what happened..😂😂😂After that happened the owner of barn and trainer was like oh I forgot to tell you he’s a jumping horse and then explained to him what to do bc the horse will jump anything he can. Anyway, I just wanted to share that give y’all a good laugh. I almost fell off my horse from laughing so hard. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Incase anyone is wondering the horse was found 3 weeks after being lost still racked up and not hurt! Thank God..

As in how you choose when you'll jump, flat or when they have a day off. Like what you take into account there like age, condition and goals. Also I love also seeing shorter videos, like 10 min is plenty!❤
