I'd call this one, "The Barn Door Event " of 2023... great coverage Mike!!...I was 9 years old in 1965 and we went to the VW dealership in Meriden CT. I remember the glass display case full of diecast Combi's, Sambas, and Single Cabs. It was great!!

I’ve been going to this show since it was SOTO, and I have never seen anything close to what was there on Saturday. Kudos to OCTO for not only getting all of these rare busses there but also arranging them by color. That was great to see. There were even 2 smooth gate single cabs there along with very rare NON sunroof deluxe busses(white roofs) that I believe were Switzerland delivered. I highly doubt there will ever be a bigger gathering of Barndoor busses. I really like the idea of themed shows. They should have all trucks, or all campers, or all sonder (SO/special)models. The feature type show gets away from the same old same old of OCTO shows. If you missed this one, you missed something special.

Barndoor Roundup is the title. At 1:14 definitely not PGSG. (Not to nitpick). It might be helpful for some to explain exactly what a”Barndoor” is, as so many are confused by this. So many iconic and famous buses were there. Truly a once in a lifetime event.

Don’t fancy selling some of your collection and getting a Barndoor. Mike. ?

Interesting ambo Mike that one, looks like a coach built version which was done after they left the factory as the fuel door is a square version. The "oval top"style fuel door were the factory build buses I was told. Great condition in side too :)

1 less vent. Barndoor has 8 vents compared to 9 on later vans.

Ìts swivelised. Just joking, very rare indeed nowadays.
