ABOUT BARNEY MILLER: Show synopsis: Captain Barney Miller is the patient and wise catalyst who must interact not only with his staff, but with the volatile mixture of malefactors and weirdos who stream through 12th Precinct headquarters. Barney's staff of detectives bring their own personalities to the chemistry: There's naive Wojehowicz, sophisticated and ambitious Harris, and Dietrich, given to arcane Freudian explanations. Barney and his crew face unpredictable adventures and frequently bizarre assignments with professional dedication and an essential sense of the absurd.

@@chevy4x466 If I could give you one piece of advice for young aspiring musician: Buy the best quality instrument you can afford. A good quality instrument will make all the difference for a starting musician, and if they "grow out of it", a quality instrument will hold its resale value far better than an entry level instrument. "Buy once, cry once". Also, don't shy away from an online teacher. They are far more focused than a local music store teacher, and have proven lesson methodology. Best of luck!!

The actor is Kenneth Tigar, who played Stefan "The Werewolf" Koepeknie. It's an excusable shame he didn't win a Guest Appearance Emmy for his hilarious performance in this classic episode. The way he goes about inside the cage, going nutsy and howling, is so authentic it seems he is actually about to turn into a werewolf at midnight, especially when he hollers and flashes his teeth, " And I've got to go to work." He appeared in six episodes during the show's 1970s televised run, but this is the most beloved appearance of all his roles in Barney Miller.

What a Cast this show had! Jack Soo makes me laugh just seeing his face and Ron Glass always had a classic wisecrack. You didn't need a laugh track for this show. ;)

I have no way of being sure, but I'm positive that the 'werewolf' Kerpecknie (or however you spell it) was the old man in 'The Avengers.' You know, the one who stood up to Loki who after his memorable 'You were made to be ruled' speech. I don't remember what he said first, but after Loki said "There are no men like me" the old man replies so bravely, "There will ALWAYS be men like you!" I thought that was one of the most heroic moments of the movie. It's was never acknowledged officially, but I'm sure the old man was supposed to be a Holocaust survivor, so his was the voice of experience. He did seem to be old enough if he were a child at the time, and remember, this scene did take place in Germany.

This episide is one of my top 5 favorites. The gentleman who was playing the werewolf is in a few episodes. I believe in his last episode that he appeared in. he thought he was Jesus. What a great show.

There will always be quality television (sitcoms, dramas, and whatever else), today and yesterday. We've got plenty of talent (actors, writers, and crews). Granted, sometimes you need to look for it ... sift through the dreck of the teevee landscape, so to speak ... but it *is* there.

Wojo does not have to get the shot. If people fear the invisible disease then they can protect themselves with the shot. Wojo not taking the shot puts no one at risk.
