I really did not do much. Dropped Jonathan Petramala off. The police said they wanted me to blast my lights when they got roads cleared but ended up getting light before roads were cleared.
@@WxChasingthe storm chasers have always been more then just that. Its nice to see u guys getting recognized now for the help u provide on the ground immediately following the storms. U all are always first on the scene as u are following the storms from their birth.
This is virtually 5 miles from the new house we just finished building. Makes you think, and be glad for small miracles. We are going to help friends there as soon as we are allowed.
Thank you for shooting this footage. It answered a lot questions I had. I was worried about Dorothy, and I see her house and storage business was completely wiped out. I certainly hope she is okay.
It hit different when you see it all in the light of day. It's easier to comprehend when a camera is focused on one destroyed home right after it happened. Even when chasers are saying half the town is gone it doesn't feel real.
I think drones are very helpful in this situation.....A family might not be able to get into their town because they are being treated in the hospital and at least footage like this can show them the state of their home.
@@jaleach123 its apart of their job. Think of it like journalism. Not everything you see with journalism isn’t sunshine and rainbows. And clearly with storm chasing that isn’t the case. This is supposed to be informative. And I’m sure the people of Barnsdall appreciate the info coming out of Barnsdall. It’s time for clean up and this will help the state determine how much damage and how the state can produce a state of emergency like last week with Sulphur, OK. I get the “invasion of privacy” but realistically there’s not much privacy to be had in the town of Barnsdall today. They need help, this helps get the word out there.
@@jaleach123I get what you mean. At first glance, it can feel a little predatory. Here, these people lost everything, even their lives sometimes. But these chasers are spending thousands of their own money on gas, food and hotels to chase these storms, and are a HUGE benefit to the viewers and weather organizations. Radar can only tell part of the story, and these chasers are eyes on the ground. They’re often the first ones to alert authorities that there’s a dangerous tornado on the ground, especially in areas that haven’t invested in any kind of radar, which is detrimental to be able to warn people and give them time to get to safety. After a storm, it’s dangerous to go into these areas on foot, and drone footage is so helpful to first responders. It’s also helpful to weather organizations who have the task of rating a tornado accurately. In my opinion, these chasers aren’t just twister junkies, praying for destructive storms, so they can cash in. They’re passionate about the weather, and are putting their lives on the line to warn those of us that are huddled in our safest spot available to us, with our family and pets and helmets, praying for it to be over. And when the tornado finally passes, these chasers are there before any first responders, and they’ve got medical bags and working vehicles, and help the people that just lost everything. I think the world of them, and am grateful for their contribution. Every once in a while they get paid for all that, and i don’t see anything wrong with that. You don’t see the Hollywood paparazzi helping people or government agencies tasked to save peoples lives-they’re the real predators who never risk their own lives, just make money ruining other peoples lives. They’re the predators.
It is crazy how appreciative people are. They always say the not knowing is the most difficult part. It’s also helpful for fighting insurance and we donate footage for those impacted.
Jesus. People weren't kidding when they said half the town was literally gone. Even in the dark, they could see it. This probably looks ten times worse to them in the daylight.
The house with the red barn and arena is my childhood home. I am sitting here looking at the wrath of the tornado from the front yard while I watch this video. My heart is broken. Thank you for covering this. Our little town of Barnsdall, OK is a wonderful place. 😢
Thank you for posting these drone videos. Seeing the aftermath of these storms from above really shows their incredible destructive power. Nobody deserves this evil.
Thank you for this coverage! It really puts things into perspective when you can see the view from above like this and not just a pic or short vid or one place. It probably helps the families as well. I heard they had to evacuate the town so this gives them full understanding of it all themselves too. Appreciate your efforts
I live 15:miles from Barnsdall. My house was not hit. Somebody i work with said that someone they know living in Barnsdall lost their garage a couple of weeks inca tornado and lost their house last night
3:05 - It's amazing how that double-wide is mostly intact, despite being in the center of the destruction path where every other house was torn to shreds.
I seen that too. Most of the new “manufactured” homes are built to level 3 which is supposed to with stand cat 3 hurricane. But Ofcourse a tornado is different. Maybe it was strapped down to the absolute max.
There was a multi-vortex tornado in Stillwater in 1990 that miraculously missed our house and destroyed every house around us. Like something out of a movie to toddle out and see a few shingles in your yard, and nothing but slabs around you.
I have done a ton of tornado clean ups throughout oklahoma and i always see the strangest things untouched. I once found a mouse with the pad and keyboard untouched in a room that was completely destroyed only thing standing was the computer desk… in a home that was basically decimated. This shows that the tornados have dead spots within them super sad and watching it live last night i knew when they showed the circulation it was a big one.
My heart goes out to all the people who had to go thru that. My goodness theses are just too common place these days. Sad to see all this. Sending love to Oklahoma.
These tornadoes are created by man-made by the government spraying chemicals in the air with airplanes to change weather patterns. This is not regular mother nature. The Government wants to take over land and sell it to China and how they do that is they wipe out states that they want to sell. They did it with Hawaii and caused a lot of destruction and death with man-made fire. Mother nature didn't do that. If you keep adding it up connecting the dots you'll get your answers. Eventually they're going to wipe out the whole United States and sell the land to China. All these big developers are already coming in buying land up that has been destroyed all people have sold their land and can no longer afford it and its overseas developers that are coming in and buying up everything.
I think people are just paying more attention with all the streamers and the popularity of tornado chasing. Until the last two weeks this year was below average and really it still is probably less than last year
That was a nasty comment. Not everyone has extra money or resources to help anyone. There is zero wrong with praying for someone. Maybe next time be kind and not nasty.
It’s heartbreaking to see such devastation. My heart goes out to the people of Barnsdall 😢❤❤❤ Thank you to the storm chasers for providing help when possible ❤
That’s My “HomeTown” & still Go Back Regularly!!! Lots of Family Members/Friends Still Have There!!! ❤ (The Town With The BIGheart) Formly known as “BigHeart”
Watched Copic live last night drive up to this area right after it hit. He said the East side was wiped out. Heartbreaking to see the loss. Praying for all those people affected.
Don’t drive to devastated areas. You’re in the way of emergency responders who can actually help people and you put yourself in harms way with debris, power lines, and more storms.
@@yungrichnbroke5199 Copic is a Trained first Responder and EMT. He has all the tools to detect powerlines etc. he knows what he is doing. he literally drags people out of the rubble. Copic was within 2 Minutes of the Tornado when it happend,he aint a Tourist. So he grabbed his stuff and instantly helped Poeple in need literally 1-2 Minutes after the got hit by the Tornado.
Those livestreams are life saving. I was watching Max velocity when it hit. I live near Houston and will definitely watch a livestream if/when strong storms are in the area!
This looked nasty on radar, and watching the next frame after impact as the debris ball echo deepens makes one wonder what horror was going on in there. Then we see this. Very sad. People's lives just casually scattered about by Nature. Thank you for lending assistance and for documenting this, Brandon.
Praying for everyone in Barnsdall, Oklahoma.. I am also angry that our Government gives our money to other countries and not to these Americans that are losing everything in these horrific Storms! Much love from South Carolina ✝️🇺🇸
0:48 is the real reason you should never go into a ditch or area like this where the road is. This is where a ton of stuff is being dumped. Imagine running here to get away from the tornado just to have your car land on top of you. At some point, states need to make it a law that EVERY mobile home/RV park WILL have a certain amount of storm shelters installed based on the amount of people living there. How this isn’t a state law in Oklahoma already is shocking.
Your opinions reminds me of the saying: "should have, could have, would have" if only is too little too late by giving your advice. Why not just pray for them, why not think of donation, why not just drive there as help as you know so much. As soon as there is a donation site established I will donate, like I did for those in great need in Sulfur,. OK. I am just an almost old lady of 80 and I can pray and donate, I will. Wake up, man! and I say that lightly.
This is the Display of Mother Nature at Her Unforgiving Worst. How Tragic is this for People that lost Everything. It also Highlights Just how Good Drones can be as that of belonging to Search & Rescue to use in locating Missing Persons & Those that Lay Injured & Needing an Immeadiate Response. My Heart goes out to those who have been Victims of These Violent Weather Events.
The storms are now coming our way. I am quite nervous. I have already been through or very close to (within a mile) of 5 tornados in 4 states. I hate this kind of weather. 1986 went through a strong F3 in Indiana while in school. Jumped right over our school after having been on the ground for 45 miles.
I wish I could go up there and help those poor people. So tragic and sad... Tornados are dangerous as is but when you get them in the dark of night they are catastrophic. My heart goes out to all of who were affected by this monster.
I never want to know or experience this. I am barely able to handle watching this. My thoughts and prayers to those affected, and a huge thank you to all the storm chasers who helped in search and rescue. God Bless.😢
With the drone footage I keep looking for a bathtub in destroyed homes… we are told if no basement go to interior most of home or into your bathtub which mine fits both criteria. However. It is difficult to tell, but I did not spot one bathtub, perhaps a few are buried under rubble. Great footage, thank you for providing it to us.
This damage is consistent with EF-3+ Damage. There is some that could be rated higher. Depending on the build material and quality and what type of structure it was.
Hard to say, a lot of those structures looked like prefab homes/manufactured homes, and some of them didn't even have true foundations. But the tree damage definitely looks like ef3 for sure.
Looked like a lot of mobile homes. They disintegrate in an EF 1. So do pole barn and cheaper shed to house construction buildings. Doesn't look like a very large town.
Strengthening as it went through, I think; the drone is backtracking the path, and the worst damage is earliest in the video. Easy EF3 there; trees are debarked.
Sick to my stomach watching this happen last night. We knew it was bad, but oh my this is bad. Heart is breaking for these families who find themselves with absolutely nothing but love and memories.❤❤
Praying for these families affected. Couple homes @1:29 @4:14 @6:25 @7:23 slabbed to the concrete. That was a major tornado. Looks like EF4 level tornado 🌪️ without question.
I was thinking same thing… definitely high end EF3 and some spots really look like EF4. I guess just depending on how well the homes were built, will determine the EF rating.
@@JamesSmith18581 Some were mobile homes, others were not so knowing the NWS they may give this storm high end EF3. Personally I believe this was a low end EF4.
Tornados favor flat unobstructed landscapes to rolling hills and mountains. it is a common misconception that people think they are protected from tornadoes in valleys. "This is exactly what we don’t need in this area is for people to get complacent, to think that tornadoes can’t get down into ravines and valleys,"
This just makes me want to cry for the people that lived there!!! The fact people survive through that is nothing short of miraculous. I'd venture to guess most in the midwest and tornado alley are smart enough to have underground shelters. It's mind boggling to see footage like this!
Where are they going to live now? I mean with all the illegals flooding across the open borders? Can they keep their jobs? How about the children and their school? Well school is over for this year there anyways. Wow. I guess the schools could be immediate housing for everyone. Geez what a nightmare.
Looks like an EF5 to me total devastation. My heart and prayers are with the people who just survived that destroyer passing over them. God bless and keep you all.
There are some flattened homes in there but I am guessing with contextual tree damage this will probably get EF3. I feel for the people affected. I hope they get all the support they need
7:07 the trees flattened and stripped of bark sent chills down my spine. Sending love to all affected by this storm. I cannot begin to fathom what today must be like for them. 😞💔
I’m betting that this is an EF-4 since I counted at least 4-5 houses whose foundations were stoned and there was almost no debris on it, and near the factory at a decent distance there was a huge industrial pipe that weighs about the same as a couple of cars !
"Oklahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plain, and the waving wheat can sure smell sweet, when wind comes right behind the rain!" Geez, what a mess. Poor people.
I had subscribed to you previously, finding you as you are part of Team Dominator and was following you last night. Bless you for going to help the families during this tragic time. Thank you for the footage because it helps to remind all of us to heed warning for severe weather. Looking at the devastation, it's hard to imagine how people survived. Did most of the homes have storm shelters? Take care Brandon.
What utter devastation. Prayers for all the families in this town and all the areas in Oklahoma that have been affected by the recent tornados. God Bless.
I honestly don’t think I could live in that part of the country and live in fear every time there is bad weather forecast. My heart goes out to everyone who is affected by this devastation ♥️♥️♥️
I so agree. Moving in the future I have already crossed out Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Texas.. but basically anywhere around or near tornado Alley. I could never handle that.
I just posted something similar. There are some trees snapped at head level but most are broken much higher up, consistent with EF3. The terrain may have had a significant impact on individual damage patterns here, of course in addition to individual house quality.
@xio3857 That's a pretty wild claim. Is there any research to support that claim? Or any proposed mechanism by which microwaves could influence the intensity of a tornado?
First thing I saw on the news when I awoke was how Oklahomans are gonna be paying more for homeowners insurance due to the recent Tornadic events! WTF. Some lost everything in their life, and the companies want MORE! Wow
This is so heartbreaking to look at. To those who lost everything or even one precious thing-I’m sorry. May you be comforted with hope, help and support now.
