Barnsley is the second most dangerous major town in South Yorkshire, and is the 28th most dangerous overall out of South Yorkshire's 110 towns, villages, and cities. We went for a walk and Barsley looks fantastic really nice people.
I lived in Barnsley for about eight years. My Yorkshire wife says that I am a southern Jessie, but I have to say...having lived all over the UK and across Europe, I think Barnsley can be mighty proud of itself. It's a great little town.

I'm American but my mother's dad grew up in the area and after I've watched a few Yorkshire walking videos in major towns and cities.... this one is the least bleak. Barnsley looks cute! Not horrified by this one! There are a few where I'm actually horrified...
Please re title this and give Barnsley Yorkshire folk and its Town the credit it deserves down to earth friendly people . Towns had a lot of money invested into clearing up drugs homeless and bringing new buisness etc into town. They don't always spend money right but certainly not a unsafe town
It's not about the title check the description what we said..the title is already tagged to Barnsley as dangerous place listed in newspapers and Wikipedia

They've yuppiefied it. There used to be a big walk through cafe next to the bus station, massive long counter, rammed every day with down to earth Yorkshire people, someone must remember it?
Barnsley looks unrecognisable to me now, 9 years since I was last there, it looks horrible compared to what it used to look like. The only building I can recognize from being a kid is Boots, that looks just the same.

Was just in Barnsley last week…traveled by train…used taxi and walked around the city and to the NHS. Agree with others..title is clickbait..I found Barnsley clean, quiet and comfortable…
I don’t know why your title says dangerous because it just isn’t. Barnsley people are friendly are helpful on the whole. This town survived a major industrial shutdown and came out the other side. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and has a lot of history. If you want a dangerous town try going anywhere else.

How is it dangerous, no one goes up there because it's crap not because it dangerous, Barnsley is the result of terrible planning by councils with no idea, we had some beautiful building some very of very special interest, but what we have now is tin sheds painted beige, hardly any shops, I haven't been in there for years, piddly little water features and open spaces, led lights, tinsel town at night lol, most Barnsley folk go to other cities to shop, Sheff or Leeds, or the supermarkets, there ain't nothing up town, it's all gone, please knock that hideous bus station down, it's ugly.
I had my motorcycle stolen and I had to pay £150 to get it back and the police said it is not a priority , that tells me feel free to break the law because it will not be a priority
That's what we wanted to find out why online it is regarded as dangerous place and in the information tab we said it surely looks like a nice place and good people

I think you ought to define what you mean by 'dangerous'? It's a pretty sweeping and 'click-bait' statement and also meaningless without any explanation. I'm sure you'll come back with 'well, this is something I read from an official statement' which, may be true but to use it in a RU-vid video title in this way is insulting, arrogant and incredibly misleading.
