@@rexsingh22 The lyrics here mention names so the piece is quite particular in its celebration. But there is no doubt that the pieces that celebrate the coming of Sri Krishna were a huge influence on poems which celebrate the coming of the Prophet or Ali, for example. The distinct 'ghee ke diye' Hindustani flavour is hard to miss.
What an experience.Divine, soothing and so fulfilling. Reason? The magic spun through words by these maestro's transports me back to lap of my grandmother and mother who used same words like Lalana,Ghew ka Ghariya... etc etc to recite the folklores and fairy tales! These words are seldom used in anglicized verson of communications even in the houses of "purab". Have been following Dream journey since long and always feel privileged to be part of your mesmerizing world. God bless you.
Oof, took a couple of mins to put it together why the voice and face was so familiar! They were in the Naseerudin Saami video! And of course now I know they are his sons!
I belong to a family which follows sufism and there are many kalaam on your channel that my family enjoys alot I really want to work with you just for the sake of listening these spiritual kalaams live.
A small request: please can you add the names of the poets who wrote the respective poems please (i.e. who wrote Baro Ghi ke Diye and who wrote Rasiya Aao Na). Thanks again for the upload!
Qawali singers get into a habit of using vibrato to express emotion, which is normally not the case with khayal singers, who use midh, sapat, firat, murki, zamzama, which are basically stable notes without vibrato. Khayal singing cannot be done by qawwals, and the Delhi Gharana branch of Pakistan for khayal will go into oblivion.
