here! here! cant wait to see you guys when this virus has run its course. a big part of me kicking my habit was crying to this cd driving my tow truck working through shit. THANK YOU
I'm mad this was nominated not because it's not good, but because this isn't very metal and that takes away from artist who actually fit in the category
Brotein Thought it was rhetorical, but I call a lot of things metal (not going into detail). This isn't prog metal to me at all that would be more on the periphery, dream theater, and gojira side of the spectrum. Sounds like prog rock to me but not metal at all
I never claimed that what are you talking about lol. I'm just saying this isn't a metal song not the band as a whole. And learn a thing or two bout music? What's there to learn? That there's a bunch of elitist twats with their panties in a bunch like you? No thanks I'll stick to listening while you google technical terms about music to sound smart in front of RU-vid comment sections
Not that I don't adore the song and equally adore the vocals, but an instrumental version of this track would make my lifetime; I want to hear those guitars in the verse and the rich tones in the chorus!
Really really good. These guys, in my opinion, should be one of the most famous rock bands nowadays up there with ghost. Their music is just so fresh compared to most of the other stuff out there.
+Juan Tovar i totally agree, their music sounds some honest unlike ghost that hides their music behind that whole Mysticism. I think Ghost is more popular because people like the spectacle rather than the music and baroness is all about the music just raw and honest.
+holad1 I really enjoy the music Ghost puts out though. While yes I love the whole Mysticism about it as well I still really enjoy the music. It is fresh as dude said as well. Not too much out there like these 2 bands
Just barely discovered this song yesterday. Been binge listening to Baroness all day & night since, & this is still my favorite song in their arsenal. Amazing , epic, catchy vocals, & the guitars are telling stories & crying upon every pluck of the strings. Thanks Baroness.
Randomly reading comments and I needed to commend you for your wording. "The guitars are telling stories & crying upon every pluck of the strings." I hope you spend time writing poetry :)
You guys are a huge inspiration for us. Yellow and Green (and from the sounds of it, Purple as well!) really forced us to get serious about our musicianship. You guys rock.
Perhaps one of my favourite bands out there, there are two reasons why I enjoy Baroness, how the music sounds, it cascades in such a way that is so indescribable, almost there are no words for this band. The second is the artwork, the art is something that is so profoundly beautiful.
Dear Baroness, i'm going through alot of changes on my life right now. Some of them are good, others are awfully bad. I lost faith on so many different aspects of my life and i miss so many people that played a big role on who i am today. You have been with me for a long time now, you helped me for years and you don't even know. Thank you for being with me and helping me to get through so much pain and uncertainties. I hope to see you here on Brazil someday, we might party alot if i'm still around.
Once I liked Baroness, later I loved Baroness, today I want to hug every person in the world and travel to see Baroness in live with tones of Beer in my hair. Good job team
The lyrics cause you to look inward at yourself. The music stirs the bones to get up and make something of yourself. Your music is like a revolution against the self and l love it.
Those guitars at the end...it's just such an excellent musical choice. And the drums sound great. Looking forward to repeating this album and getting older ones.
+TheNerdyResponder same here brahh, im down with rap , ghettotech, house music, but damm when i heard this song i was lke this song is bad ass. Great Tune
Is there anyone else out there who is reminded of Jerry Cantrell by Pete's soloing? They don't sound exactly alike or anything, but they both have such melodic solos. Neither tries to jizz all over the song, and instead, they both tend to play memorable lines that are just enough to fit the song. Just my observation...
Another great song, this is going to be a really good record, can't wait for it to come out. Going to see Baroness on December 15 in Chapel Hill, can't wait to here the new songs live!!!
Charlie Allin it's just good, accessible music. it is well-organized, layered, and big-sounding. it is not extremely heavy, but there's nothing too watered down about it. the production is very dynamic. just because you don't like poppier sentiments doesn't mean it's shit.
With each release I'm more stoked for this record. There's so much awesome musical subtleties in these tracks and some of the best production I've heard in a while. This is definitely going to be a record that rewards repeated listens. Can't wait to hear it live.
This is incredible.. all the stuff off purple I've heard is amazing. Been listening to you guys since 2007, good shit. Thank you guys for this gift of art to the world
I ran into you guys about 4-5 months ago. Been listening to your albums on repeat and learned how to play chlorine and wine since then.I'm truly amazed and cant wait for 18 December. That day marks the end of a busy period for me and with Purple getting released on the same day, I'll just celebrate it by listening to your triumphant tunes . And hey see ya soon on one of the shows
this is really nice, and i look forward to buy your new album. I love this! Everytime, i hear some People say, todays "music is not like "then" anymore and today, there is no good music anymore" ... i bring (honestly) Baroness, as an example how in this times too, there are great artists!
When I first heard this album I thought it was okay. But the more I listened to it, the more it grew on me. & I had a hundred chances to buy it! Needless to say I regret not picking it up when I had the chance! But regardless, this is good stuff!
