For the start we all just must praise you two guys for talking about Lazio in english. I, like many, must get most info regarding the club through this podcast. Second half was very important to see as it gave us more hope for the rest of the season. Now we now how they can play under Baroni, good or bad. Let’s hope for better result through the season. In Baroni and Nuno I trust 🦅 (as for now 🥸)
Im sure the problem with Hysaj is his salary, no other club that wants him wont pay him, option is that he refuse to move or we need to pay a big portion of his salary anyway, then it may be better to have him in the squad if we need to pay him anyway
Turkey is open until Friday next week. UAE for 2 more weeks or so... Akpro and Hysaj should both fit in well in Turkey, and Turkey has no tax for player salaries, so they can handle fairly high salaries.
We bought Dia at a comparative age to Ciro. Now Dia is not Ciro, but nobody is Ciro, and Dia can do 20-25 goals in a season under perfect conditions (still 10 less than Ciro). So getting Dia for this price, in 2024 might be as value for money as Ciro for 9m in 2016. We got Gila and Guendouzi for under 20m The way they played in CL is fair to compare with De Vrij and Lucas. We are still making amazing deals. Zaccagni cost us 10m Provedel, Mandas... Tavares looked like a bargain even if he is 10-15... Our Starting11 (including loan fees and activation of options etc.): 3m? 6m? - 6m? - Free - 15m? 18m? - 13m 12m - 12m? - 20m? - 10m? 115m... about 10m/player iirc Tare did not do last summer's mercato (or was that just Lotito talking out of his arse again)? That was Mandas, Pellegrini, Rovella, Guendouzi, Isaksen (and Kamada) I think we are still pulling off miracles, but it would be nice to have the funds to choose by player and not by price.
Because Lazio got robbed imo. They didn't even go to VAR if I recall correctly. Which tells you all you need to know. I've seen penalties given for such handballs in the past. In this game it happened TWICE and the ref didn't even want to take a look. Surely on Milan's payroll.
@@bismarck33 Stupid rule then. I've seen penalties given for those sorts of handballs plenty of times. At the end of the day a team shouldn't be allowed to handle the ball with their hands MULTIPLE times in the same match without going unpunished. Whether it's accidental handball or not. Guaranteed if it's the other way around Milan would have been given a penalty or two. The ref didn't even look at VAR.
Lotito had probably always been like this. However I agree with him. I don't like today's market and several clubs should just rebel against it. My guess is Berardi and Lauriente does not want to play Serie B, but they are there because their club demands a far too high price for them. There was a time I would have paid what was demanded. A time when the stars shined brighter. Crespo I am glad was part of our history. There was talk about bringing Rivaldo to the club in 2002. It might have taken breaking the world record to get him to our club. Who in today's football is in that league? Nobody I would say. Not even Haaland and Mbappe. I don't like Lotito as a person, but I am fan of his way. As soon as clubs demand too much for a player, hang them out to dry. About inflation. There has to be something wrong when the most expensive player costed 60-70 million € in 2010. Today it is well above 200 million €.
Sold star of the team to rebuild with young player, but sold sana, dutu, sardo, cataldi all the home gorown player is gone. Mancity even have unlimited budget manage to orbit player from their youth program, bobb, lewis, palmer, foden.
