It's finally a cool weekend weather forecast of 89 degrees and 93 degree heat index, also it's my birthday. What better way to celebrate than go to George Ray's Wildcat ‪@georgerays1961‬ Dragstrip in Paragould Arkansas. They have hedas up index racing most Sunday's since 1961. My 1968 Plymouth Barracuda may can fall into one of the index classes, which are usually in half Second Increments from 5.50-9.0, eighth Mile.

The no prep stuff is actually a lot of fun. Glad some of the events run indexes though. Helps slow guys like me be competitive! 😆😆 Looks like a fun little track. Nice birthday present to yourself to get out and go racing!

Yes sir! Kind of a wild card to see what you can do on the surface. Most of the guys there race each week. 7.0 is the hot class in Arkansas. Some events have over 100 cars!

I ran the 7.0 class at Georges for nearly a decade. Great fun, great track, and George was a gem. Anyways drove my small block Dart to the track roughly 40 miles, grabbed some Sunday beer in MO and raced with a beer between my legs some Sundays.

We enjoyed meeting you and then watching you . I wish we could’ve stayed longer but family obligations do come first . My grandson told his mom that everyone was nice and welcomed him to the brotherhood ! He then said we’re going back . I look forward to possibly watching you at Newport before harvest . Great video . Hey Joe I sell stripper glitter up in Minnesota here, reason for the glitter is so you can back up into your own tracks little bit of light shines on it easier to see also shake that jug vigorously every time you use it

@@JustMoparJoe yes Joe you don't need to do John Force burnout but you do need to do a high wheel speed burnout and seriously it's very important to shake before use every and if you pour puddle and then put a little bit out in front of the tire about a foot or so

It's a Gem! My dad ran back there in the 70's. They used to be set off by a flag and put into categories by what modifications were done to the car. The Track owner, George Ray(RIP) classed the cars and had final say. Now his Grandson runs it since he passed. That .400 tree is tough when you're footbraking for sure.

Its fun because of the uncertainty of the surface. had a 1.50 60' and then later a 1.68! Huge slicks would cure that out there

Thanks, Ryan! This is as loose as it gets in Arkansas. They run .5 indexes from 9.0-5.50 Every Sunday. They now have some cheap street style stuff on Friday or Saturday nights too

Yes sir I did. That 1.50 60' would have been all day on a well prepped surface. I think last pass was down to 1.64 or so.

Your car has picked up a lot since I have subscribed is it running the 406 still getting old memory problems what is your best time with the 406 man your buddies 69 valiant sure looked good wish mine looked that good most of the tracks I went to were basically the old 60s era type too get your car dialed in on a good prep track and then go to one that isn't makes things interesting love your channel and all the information you have shared thanks

thank you! We weighed it with the 408 with iron heads. it was 2945 without driver. I think it will be similar now with the aluminum heads.

Everyday is a God day. But this scripture was from last year when I called out a car for a drag race at the NNN. The race never happened, but I keep the sticker on there to remind the world that the callout is forever on.

it is like 1980s all over again lol.I flagged a 69 RR and a barracuda a few times in the middle of the roadway back then. Oh that guy lit both bulbs and backed out on you when you were on converter, that is disqualified if racing

Maybe with some more Torque it would. I think the converter is on the tighter side, but works well for cutting traditional lights.

Joe, my big 5300lb. '76 GranFury Suburban wagon with the N/A all iron 440 used to eat those supercharged mod-motor Lightnings for lunch and spit electric Rangers out of both tailpipes!! Somebody brought one with the boost turned up, full ET-Drag slicks and a tune and I tree'd them so bad I even beat them to the stripe (1/8mi) and when I went to the timing shack to get my ET slip, they rode right on past and out the gate....
