Beautiful Kathryn... Or, I guess people call you Katy. As a dancer and a mom too, I am so deeply touched by all that you are doing here. You are going to do it! You WILL be back and I cannot wait. I will be standing in line for that ticket to see you on the stage where you belong! For all the naysayers--- the ones who say you're crazy? sure. "Crazy" people are what make life worth living. You go girl!!!
Thank you so much for making this video, since going to uni I have missed doing ballet. Being able to just do a barre workout has been exactly what I've been looking for. You are amazing!! Thank you!!
Hi Katy, I was wondering if you are still going to do videos where you are going to teach us variations like you said in one of you're previous ones? In my ballet classes I get just ballet choreography but no variations we don't do Nutcracker as well so it would be amazing if I could learn then from you! You are an inspiration and you are amazing!! Xx Josephine
First, I'd like to thank you for taking the time and effort to make your videos. I know it takes a lot. I appreciate all the tips and all the barres. It really helps me to stay in shape. Thank you so much. One little thing though, when you go into demi plié you tend to lift your heels a little and in forth Position you tend to pronate. Now I don't know whether you do that in all your vids, maybe you had a rough Day? I don't mean to be rude I just wanted to help since you helped me so much.
Your barre workouts are making me better at other genres of dance practice. I'm guessing that this is the foundation of all dance. Am I right? I really enjoy practicing with you. I hope I can advance to more videos. Thank you. :)
Hi Kathryn!!! This is a great barre!!! I loved the ronde de jambe combination! It made me feel so pretty and elegant (which is one of the reasons I love ballet so much!). I loved the music too! It was nice to do barre to Disney and Broadway songs!!! :-) Thanks again!
Hey Kathryn whenever I hold my leg to the front or side my quads hurt and my quads are like a gymnast and at my studio we don't want giant muscles but long ones. Can you give any advice on extensions to the front and side? Or a video of possible?
Hi Kathryn (or anyone else). I was wondering if you have ever seen really uneven turnout? When I first added ballet into my training I had turnout so bad that I actually walked *turned in* I walk straight but my turnout is uneven. ie: if I were to stand with my best (not forced) turnout in first on the face of a clock my right big toe would point to 3 o'clock and my left to 11 o'clock. Do you know how I might fix this? My left splits are also much better than my right. Could this be related?
Sanchara So sorry I am just getting to your comment! Yes- I have uneven turnout, too. My left is is much more turned out than my right leg. I think what it is (at least in my case) is that I sprained my right hip when I was 15. So now it is REALLY tight. So it portably is just that your hip is tighter on one side than the other so it doesn't open up as easily.
Hi! So I have a question I am a tribal fusion belly dancer and I want to do a tribal Ballet fusion price and I only did like one or two lessons when I was littler {I'm 13}. What do you think?

***** Thank you- lifting the heels in pile is my Balanchine training. It is a huge SAB thing. I am trying to break the habit but my achilles are so tight from a lot of years doing that. As far as pronating- I think I was tight. I don't have flat turnout, but it must have been a bad day. :)
