Also petite 5’2”, somewhat of pear shape, I have one pair of barrel legs jeans in washed black, bought them for the comfort. I have come to conclusion that there are mainly two ways they look good on me: 1- if wearing a flat shoe (or under 1 -2 in), I need to cuff them. 2- if I wear them un cuffed i need a 3” heal or above. They look so nice when you show the ankle. Great video!

Definetely show more ankle, i agree! There is a huge visual difference between the looks in which you rolled up the jeans a bit in comparison to those in which you went full lenght. The latter make you visually heavier on the legs, but just a few inches shorter and boom! They look soooo much more flattering, and really make you look edgy and modern, and slim! ❤ By the way, i cant thank you enough for showing these ideas: i am 5'2" too with a very similar body shape, and basically you made all the styling hard work for me 😁😁😁😘😘😘
I bought my first pair of barrel leg jeans two years ago and recently added a blackish pair. Love them! For me keeping my tops somewhat slim fitting works best. Sweaters or cardigans that are slightly cropped with a fitted waist works well or I tuck or half tuck. As for shoes, I like pointed, almond or slightly squared toed boots. For warmer seasons I have a pair of slightly pointed toe black mules from Nissolo which I love or sandals. I like to keep this look classic with a slight edge. For the classic part I may wear a collared shirt under the sweater or alone.
Love videos on how to make pieces that maybe aren't 100% ideal for us work, it's more fun to have more options than just the usual chosen most flattering pieces. Maybe you already have one but I'd love a video with a presentation of different denim cuts that work well for you, I'm pretty similar in shape and height and it'd help me immensely :)

Fab video as always I have a pair of barrel leg jeans that I love from ASOS. I cropped them myself using a hack online where you don't lose the end hem and using my trusty sewing machine but I really struggle with the shoe situation myself. I find shoe options limiting so I love your ideas. I wear mostly trainers but Definitely slimmer trainers work better and ballet flats and kitten heels look cute too. If I wear any chunky shoes my feet look like boats and I look like a clown 🤡😂 😅😅😂
I really don’t think this style of jean is right for you. They look baggy in a strange way. I would say straight leg would work better on your shape. Also the wash looks a bit dirty. Sorry 😞
