Wow. I've got a hot as heck OTTB that makes half these horses look like they're downright calm, and she's in a barrel hinge snaffle. My beginning working eq QH is sidepassing over rails at a trot and she's in a sidepull bridle. My Belgian throws herself into the harness and I drive her with a Kimberwicke. My TWH racks the miles away in a Zilco flower hackamore. The day I need a gag bit, hackagag, or even a tiedown is the day that I've received a traumatic brain injury and my equestrian skills become non-existent.
They only bit up during runs, rest of the time just what most of us use and school in. Don't think you got anything on these big money pros, you don't.
Are you all blind? Do you not see how badly these horses are ridden? I am not just talking about Fallon Taylor and Sarah Rose McDonald. These horses are whipped, spurred, star fished, you name it. Horses are not supposed to turn that tight. It damages their bodies. The whipping is so unnecessary. Why would you whip your horse? There is scientific proof that whipping, spurring and star fishing can cause long term damage. Whipping does not make your horse go faster, it actually either slows them down or has no effect on the horses speed. The whole "Horses have thick skin." thing is bull sh*t. Humans have skin that is about 0.08 mm thick and horses have skin that is 0.05 mm thick. They can feel a tiny fly land on them. Imagine how bad whipping and star fishing is. Imagine if you hit yourself with the whip. It would hurt, right? They have sensitive nervous systems that can feel things humans can't. Not to mention that these riders have HORRIBLE equitation and rely entirely on their horn and reins for balance. Because of this they end up ripping the horses face off. These horses are not excited to go in the ring, they are trained to. Trained to the point that whenever they see barrels all they know is that they need to run. Any good equestrian would be able to know that this style of riding is abuse. If you don't believe me, just look. Just f*cking look. Watch their hands, they move around all over the place, ripping the horses mouth apart. Some even put RUBBER BANDS on their feet to keep their feet in the stirrups. These horses have no muscle, no top line, NOTHING. This is EXACTLY why I don't support barrel racing.
I think this is the pride of the winner in this field barrel racing, and all contestants have an ambition to be first, by the way, I follow this in amazement and make sure of it until I see the winner.
@@gerrycoleman7290 Please tell me what you hope to accomplish by your deliberately inflammatory remarks? Other than to prove how much of a jerk you are, that is.
It seems that you know nothing about horses. I have been barrel racing since I was a very young todler on the same horse I am now 12. MY HORSE HAS NO PROBLEMS
Barrel racing is hard on a horse's joints, ligaments, and tendons long term. It is selfish to do subject a horse to that kind of damage. and flat out wrong.
@@piperandrews9396 So, are you saying you don't care that many disciplines are hard on horses? Are you of the mind set that a horse is like a tool? If the tool breaks, 'I'll just throw it away and get another tool.'
