I test out the Barrett MRAD for accuracy with a couple types of ammo and run it out to distance. I also test point of impact shift removing the barrel and installing a suppressor. #rangeday #precisionshooting #longrangeshooting
Great video! I recently purchased an MRAD 300 PRC. Your video is the best informative, instructional review on the MRAD I've seen. Great job! Thank you.
i appreciate the hands on review. a lot of people will shoot it and review it. with not to much knowledge to the actual workings of the stock and parts. i am happy our military selected them as the primary bolt gun. barrel changes in the field. its a great system.
The bolt is different on the rifle you was shooting then mine, because the pen in my bolt comes all the way out and you have to use a little tool to get the firing pin out of the bolt. Mine MRAD has no play on the trigger and my MRAD was chambered in 338LM with a 24” inch barrel and I have a Nightforce ATACR 7-35x-56mm scope on my MRAD and my top rail is 20MOA and it’s marked on the top rail in the second drop of the rail. I have a 260 Remington 24” inch Proof Research carbon fiber barrel 1:8 twist and a 300NM 26” inch steel barrel in 1:8 twist and I do all my own reloading for all three calibers. All the magazines are 10 rounds mags. I paid 5335 for mine in 6/2020 with two 10 rds mags with the rifle in the pelican case with no torque wrench. Very good video
@@thelonggunner762 if you have the serial number of the rifle you can call Barrett and they can look up the serial number and tell you when the rifle was made. I know this because I had to call Barrett to find out what angle my top rail was, because I was having trouble sighting my in at first. My rifle was manufactured 4/28/20
Nice shooting man! Just stumbled across your channel and subscribed right away. It was pretty fun working together back in the day. Hope you are doing well!
Maybe reset the barrel while pointing the rifle up vertically, do there is some gravity helping to dtandardize fhe head soacing befofe closing rhe bolt.
I guess I didn't say it in the video but I was pressing in and turning it counter clockwise against the bolt. With the design of the tapered bolt lugs it makes it a very repeatable.
