I HAD Barrets but on my last Edg, they said it was not showing up. What I did was try to eat an alkaline diet the best way that I could. I would eat a little meat here and there but not every day. I make sure I drink a spinach , Kale, Chard smoothie for breakfast in the mornings, add a little piece of lemon for taste. Some mornings I would eat some oatmeal no sugar but add fruit or a little honey for taste. For lunch I will maybe eat some fruit: watermelon, cantaloupe , or just a bag of grapes. For dinner, I would eat maybe a piece of salmon, broccoli , steamed zucchini, squash and for my drink, a spinach and kale smoothie with a pinch of lemon in it. When I make the smoothies , I usually do not add ice, remember I am not eating for taste but for health! I do not drink nothing but water, when I can I drink alkaline water. NO Coffee, Teas, Sodas, or any other beverage. Water only. I try my best to snack on pecans, walnuts, and some seeds. I cant lie people, sometimes I also snack on a small bag of chips maybe twice a month, I HUMAN okay! The chips are NOT recommended. Try your best to stay away from the sugars , pies, cakes, honey buns, cookies, candy ect.. it is enough sugar in your fruits. NO pork, No processed meats, and try to stay away from bread if possible. Note: You will drop off the pounds, maybe look like you did when you were in high school. Your blood pressure will be lower, and usually your energy will be high depending on what other medications you take.
Yes I totally agree with that, also this guys Barretts oesophagus can only have gone to high grade dysplasia, any higher than that the treatment is total resection/chemo
@@karlhans6678There are three stages of Barretts oesophagus, no grade , low grade and high grade dysplasia. If you have a high grade dysplasia it then has a much higher chance to progresses to cancer and if that happens there is only one set of treatment that will cure you,Chemo and total oesophageal resection ( surgery to remove the oesophagus ) . www.cancer.org/cancer/esophagus-cancer/treating/by-stage.html Copy and paste the link, it will explain (check the part in the article where it says stage 0 oesophageal cancer, which is what the man in the video had)
@@MrFilimn how do i know if my throat symptom is cancer? I feel a hard small part in my throat mostly when i eat, but i dont always feel it. It hurts a bit when swallowing but i dont have trouble swallowing.
I just came across this site today. Last night I was told that my Barret's is no longer there. I honestly do not know how to express my gratitude to those who treated me. I was out on Omeprazole morning and evening before meals. Later on I was prescribed Alverine. I was just searching for other people with similar stories as mine to understand my diagnosis last night. To those who suffer with Barret's, please do not despair. Just eat the right stuff. I wish you all the best
@@usmanzafar8573 I had It for more than ten years. I never thought it would ever resolve itself. It was there in 2022. I had to stop eating a lot of food including spices, certain vegetables and fruits. I'm glad this is over. I think I found a doctor who tried some treatment that worked. Don't give up.
@@usmanzafar8573 Oh sorry, I'm an African, we eat small grains flour such as millet, sorghum, finger millet. I thought of what I ate growing up. I just worked through trial and error. I reduced carbohydrates, oil and fat, no spices, less salt, sugar and drinks. It was trial and error. Whatever irritated my tummy was eliminatedeled. Fruit and leafy vegetables were out. I introduced mashed sweet potatoes as a starter. I also added avocado. I was just trying soft food products. I would layer my stomach with softer foods first, the main meal, then some plain greek yoghurt. This was what I did depending on how my stomach reacted. I avoided caffeine as well. Drinking lots of water rather than drinks worked for me. Now I just need to maintain self-care. Good luck.
I have atrophic gastritis and Barrett’s esophagus. I have very bad post nasal drip and hoarse voice from Barrett’s. Worried that it’s a lot worse, last scope was in 2019 before pandemic. This video was 6 years ago. How is Tom doing now? I hope he’s still cancer free

I can't hardly eat anymore. Just really plain things like soymilk, yogurt, hummus, peanut butter. Most other things, I take a couple bites and start gagging until I throw up. Especially rice, potatoes, bread.
@@noname-by3qz you need to get an endoscopy. You might have a condition called SIBO which causes gas buildup that triggers reflux and vomiting. Get a home breath test for that.
@@Kazilikaya I have zero reflux. I have figured out it seems to be when I'm dehydrated. If I have plenty of fluids first it's a lot easier. I did take the prescription omeprazol for 2-3 months and that seemed to fix it. But I had to stop because I was having all kinds of strange tiny stabbing pains in my chest and back. They stopped now.
About 3 months ago, Doc told me I have kidney cancer and ARACHNOIDITIS ,,,a year ago I was diagnosed with ACHALASIA, now Doc says I have BARRETS... Everything is a fight,,,what do I do?

Honestly I had the same issue and I was taking opremazole a proton pump inhibitor and anti acid reflux medication weekly and I used to be so anxious and carried them everywhere. Now I’m happy to say that I no longer take either medication! Through an overhaul I’m diet, reducing meat intake (harder to digest) and eating more fish and more creamy vegetable soups and just cooking my food less in oil I can honestly say that it has changed my life. I don’t think an operation is the only answer because you can end up with other issues. I had gallstones, was operated on and now I had the beautiful chronic acid reflux. No one will ever tell you diet can actually get rid of the symptoms. They tell you what not to eat but not what to eat.
@@lukaluka9843 I’m aware!!! I’m being sent to a cardiologist because of the stabbing pain and heart flutters I have… I’m also being sent to a gastroenterologist!!!! Thanks

I'm having so many troubles with my GERD. I'll have the endoscopy in 4 days. I hope there's nothing there but I have the sensation of debris stucked in my throat for a whole month. PPIs are not working maybe aggravating as I have now two side effects from those. I'm 28 yo and my life is a nightmare for the last couple of months.
@@FredoCorleone hey I had this last year. I couldn't say 2 words without burping and/or gagging. In my case, I changed what I ate aka no eating out/ordering in, exercised 3 days a week and dropped 15 lbs. I stopped drinking beer, was only a social drinker, and sodas are down to maybe 3x a month. Also, stay away from greasy foods like pizza, burgers. I eat turkey burgers now, lean, taste amazing. One day those symptoms all stopped, but I still had the issues of laying down and gagging ruinijg my sleep. I added walking, some jogging and after about 5 to 6 months it's all gone. Just had my endoscopy and everything is looking good and I feel better. Hope this somewhat helps.
