Some 11 years ago I lived in Canada for about a year and I used to have a gf from Barrie. She was studying in Hamilton, however she used to take me to her parents in Barrie quite often. I can still recall most of the city as if I was today. Though it looks as if downtown saw quite a bit of renovation since then. Loved it.
The Barrie shoreline is a huge expanse that goes on for a great long while. It's an awesome place to walk all day from the east end shores to west end ones. There's lots of places to grab supplies, always a few interesting people to meet and I have to commend Barrie on their waterfront. Excellent!
Hello! Downtown Barrie is usually a very busy town. I've never seen it so empty. Beautiful footage, I would've liked to see the waterfront a little more as it's been redone in recent years and its truly very appealing. Have a great week!!
So the last time I was in Toronto, I stayed at an Airbnb in Chinatown and this beautiful young woman I met in the lobby was from Barrie. So I'm checking out what Barrie is like. It turns out it's as beautiful as the girl from the Airbnb.
Property taxes are a killer - traffic is awful on Bayfield, Mapleview and Hwy 400. Conjestion on many streets - downtown like any other town has a serious drug problem, don't be walking along Dunlop after hours - I used to live in Barrie for 18 years - many fond memories though it is stuck with poor planning and now is heavily conjested. Viewers are seeing the light side of the city - film the south end on a work day and it looks soooooo different.
