This song has helped me for 20 years, I can’t believe how time flies, OG Southeast Trese Locos gang, Barrington Autographed my San Diego padres hat In 2004, At the Seedless Concert, I drove him there in my bus
Tuff iyah. So tuff. The great Barrington Levy who parades one of the sweetest roots voices was produced here by the great Dillinger Ragnampiza under his OAK Label. Tuff riddim by Dillinger. One of the greatest mysteries is whether Dillinger ever cut a dj version of this great riddim on his own label, and if he did not, why not? This brings us to a more subtle point. Don't be selfish. If you are not in a position to convert, pass the idea to your bredrin in a better position to score. Dillinger passed the ball and Barrington scored the goal. Awesome!!!
Your heart it's like an open book Yeahh (Seu coração é como um livre aberto) Your heart it's like an open book Ohhhh (Seu coração é como um livre aberto) And everyone want to take a look because your heart it's like an open book... How do you classify this song? It's #message is too tepid, to be roots reggae. Its #riddim is too pulsating and potent, to be be lovers rock reggae. It's lyrics are too delicate without #slackness, to be dancehall reggae. So what is it then? I leave you to be the judge, but there is a saying popular with Igbo motor park touts: "Rapu ife ede na' aru moto, banya na moto," which translates as "ignore what is written on the sides of the commercial bus, just jump in and grab a seat." So forget its classification and enjoy this great tune. Two giants of roots combined to unleash this throbbing piece with the great Barrington Levy singing and the great Dillinger producing. It is dedicated to all those guileless people out there, who cannot keep a secret. Check out the throbbing bass line in the version at the end. However you have to pump up the volume to appreciate it.
Nice try, But its about a girl who is not only beautiful but also has a beautiful heart that no man can withstand. Your explanation is sensible but negative. This is onelove music and he (Levy) would never sing that meaning cause it would sound frustrated.
i classify this song/music reggae when we use to go to dance back in the day it was reggae music everything was played everybody in one dance B.Levi use to run tings in Jamaica you go to dance sound system play reggae if you was around in the 70's and 80's you would know weather you want to call roots lovers whatever we call it reggae cause that's what we know Bless
