Kendall was his brother, not his son. They're both Mulligan's sons. And for you to say Dustin Rhodes isn't talented shows how little you know about the business. Dustin was bland as a whitebread babyface, but that Golddust gimmick was a heat magnet. He was great in that role, and once he got away from the creepy Golddust gimmick and went to more comedic vignettes he was even better. I will agree that as a rule, second generation wrestlers don't reach the heights of their fathers. Putski, Stasiak, Sammartino, Flair, etc. But there are also plenty thaat surpass their fathers too... Orton, DiBiase, Barry, Savage, to name a few.

Dude you were directly speaking about 2nd generation wrestlers. Don't backtrack and say I misinterpreted. 2nd generation + boy = you thought they were father/son. Not a big deal, not trying to start a dumb internet fight.

I started watching wrestling in Florida and Windham and Luger were two of the first guys I saw.

From what I have read, Luger was leaving to go to Crocket and the plan was for Brody to win the match but Luger didn't want to look bad going to another territory so he didn't want to lose and Brody didn't want to look bad to the Japanese fans. So Brody on the advice of Hiro matsuda was told to teach Luger a lesson.

Protect kayfabe? No selling in that match did the opposite of protect kayfabe. Someone who’s 6’5” 275lbs hits you and you no sell, that’s bad for the business.

Brody obviously had issues with Luger to put him in such an awkward and embarrassing predicament like that. 🤔

Problem is Brody had a reputation of beating the crap out of wrestlers for doing stuff he didn't like or if he didn't like them. This clearly scared Luger especially as he was on his way out.

No you don't just stop in the middle of the match. People pay to see a match. Whatever differences you have you take it backstage.

@@Hi-kq1vi | Its called aging, metabolism, and family genes. As we all grow older, our metabolism slows and you will gain weight eventually regardless of how you eat. And that does happen to the average person starting at 35 years old. You really think Barry (or even his brother Kendall) was going to look exactly the same today (2018) as he did in 1985? To me, Barry looks good for his age in this video.

Calm before the Storm I don't know about that. He's aged a lot better than other wrestlers from that same period. Have you seen Lex Luger? Father time(and steroids) have really kicked his ass. By comparison Barry looks pretty healthy for his age.
