I enjoy the accuracy of theology in a few of this brother in Christ’s songs. One concern with this song though. Its regarding the lyrics around Micah 7:19 (He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.). It was addressed in the song we will forgive their sins in a sea of forgetfulness, but that verse is about how God has forgiven His children by casting their sins into the depths of the sea. The sins are casted into the depths of the sea by God the Father placing His wrath upon His son. So this verse is applicable to how God forgives His children by placing His wrath upon Christ instead. That’s not something we are able to do. I understand your intent with the song, but I wanted to bring forth the context of the verse. We are called to forgive, but because God has forgiven us. Overall, I think this brother presents great theology in his songs. Keep up the good work. I pray his theologically on point songs become more mainstream.
