That owner is so humble. Even though he's the owner of a basically famous restaurant, he corrected Dave and said it's his dad's name on the sign. Such a wholesome dude.

John is one of the nicest, most humble guys there is. Gentleman. My Dad took me there as a little boy. Now, I’m 63 and still going. Best pork sandwich and cheesesteak in the city. God bless you John. We love ya!

I’ve had over 20 of the locals “you got to try” cheese steaks and I gotta say, hands down John’s is tops!! We live in Ohio BUT if we are within 50 miles, it’s a guarantee,no time…. we make, it’s not a question.

What a nice guy. I live in south Jersey 15 minutes away. I got to try the cheesesteak with American cheese and original pork. Keep tradition. Go back to original what makes them great.

This dude is awesome. I need to try to get there in my next visit to the city.

First off this was during covid and that's why you had trouble. Second off you should never eat a Cheesesteak and then try the roast pork you are mixing flavors together. That being said John has the best cheesesteak and the best roast pork in the city hands down. In fact I just received a wonderful gift for Father's Day it was a package with four roast pork sandwich setups from John's Roast Pork. Just made them all ate one 1/2 put 3 more in the refrigerator for later and I froze 4 halves that I will pull out one each week until I sadly run out. I now live 200 miles from here so I don't get them that often but they are the best and I miss them and what a wonderful gift thanks to my Daughter in-law.

Loved this cheesesteak video!! Interaction with the family owning the business was great! Hope you do more cheesesteak reviews over time, def can't do them all week lol. Try Jim's on South Street, my go to since I was a kid. I always get just fried onions and extra cheese (wiz or american only). At Jim's or the next place you do try both variants that way to compare?
