One of the sweetest men ever. Saw him at a restaurant in NYC about 3 years ago. We were there for my mom's bday. After we sang happy birthday to her, he passed by our table on the way out, and wished her a happy birthday! She lit up. She stood up and he hugged her. Made her whole night.
I’ve heard a lot of celebrities talk about Henry Winkler on podcasts, tv, etc and I’ve never heard someone say anything other than “he’s the nicest guy you’ve ever met”. So much respect.
The fact that Henry Winkler played one of, if not THE most iconic cool characters ever as well as playing huge nerds like Chuck Lumly in “Night Shift” shows how good an actor he is.
I loved how everyone gave love to the Fonz. And he returned it back. My sister drove by him in the 80s in one of the LA freeways and waved at him. And he waved back. Seems like a really nice guy.
Lmao at 4:54 what a beast. That’s the way to do it such a natural salesman. Knew it was coming him plugging his show but the way he did it was phenomenal
Thoroughly entertaining. Do more with celebs (easier said than done, I know). Having a guest there makes for fun/interesting conversation/watching. Try "Pizza J" in Providence, RI sometime....
I don't know how many times I've had to explain that phrase to millennials over the years....the day the Fonz went from cool to nerd in one episode. :-)
I was a flight attendant for 35 years. I flew out of Boston for most of it, and did a huge amount of my flying between Boston and LAX. We had tons of celebrities traveling on those flights, and Henry Winkler is the nicest person you will ever meet!!! BTW, Dave, I lived in the crow's nest apartment on Humphrey Terrace that the McShays used to own. I'm sure we crossed paths at some point. Love this channel!
Love Henry Winkler. Absolutely the best personality. Just a real, down to earth, hilarious man. His role in arrested development was amazing. Such a good fking actor. His role in Barry was made for him.
Henry's an good guy! Happy Days premeired in 1974 I was in high school then. Next year marks the shows 50th anniversary. Long live the Fonz 😎 Aaaaaaaa! 👍👍
Do you know how annoying it would be to relive one project you’ve done for literally 40 years+ afterward? Imagine that for a few seconds how much patience you have to have.
He has to ignore it after a while, especially people who dont know when enough is enough. Having said that he doesnt hate being called that or people seeing him as Fonzi. (His own thoughts in a recent interview)
If Ted does the review it means the one bite review is almost over. Ted was on a lot of shows that were at the end of their run except for Married with Children.
Henry is one of the nicest guys around because he has experienced a lot of ups and downs. After Happy Days, he struggled which gave him humility and made him grateful for every opportunity. Now he's kicking ass in Barry but still a humble man with a great life philosophy.
My summer job in college I worked at the Equinox hotel’s restaurant in Manchester, VT. Henry’s parents used to come in for lunch on a regular basis. They were the nicest people ever. We all loved them!
He is very kind & humble. When I was graduating from independent living program he & whoopi Goldberg were part of it. He asks us about what we liked to do in life & I said I like to sing & the next year I was the guest that was privileged to sing for the next group of foster kids graduating. It was such an amazing time meeting them & they did our make up & hair & took us shopping for a suit. I had a videotape however, I loaned to someone who was there & it was stolen & I never got it back. I still have pictures but not w/ the special invites though!!🙃
PHOENOMINAL!! My favorite review ever! Love that you had Arthur Fonzarelli with you, an absolute legend! And great job by Dave with the subtle salute to the character by dressing up in leather. I also noticed the penciled in side burns that nobody mentioned.
I was in his house once he donated his treadmill and I came in a box truck with a co worker to pick it up. His assistant was handling everything but she told us he’s upstairs and gave us $100 tip each to take out the treadmill from the house. Even though he was donating it and it was like brand new. He had a picture on a table of him riding on an elephant. Love him and his movies.
A celebrity that conducts himself in a way that allows fans to feel comfortable around him and in turn creates a respectful interaction. The fonz is a baddass aayyyyyyyy!!!!!!
