I get a kick out of how Dave is trying to sound smart explaining the twin cities, however he continually calls Minneapolis - Minnesota. As if the two cities are Minnesota and St Paul. He did it in this video and the last one where he attempted to look smart.
I live down the street from Mamas. The Flavor Explosion pizza is awesome. I give it a solid 8. They only have thin crust. The only drawback. But it’s good.
I grew up a block from here. It's the only reason to come back to this hood now. This was a very fair review. Not my style of pizza but it's one of the best in the twin cities.
@@lawrenceshdow Neither of you clowns live at or around the 2 seasons- Twins. Cause than You would know to get the Phuc out! The Invasions plus the FREEZING COLD 6 Months out of the Year. Halloween (if not before) all the way up through the 3rd or 4th week of April. Than late may up too the St.Fair it's Muggy and 87°. MN is Easily A Top 5 (top 2) Worst weather state.
Mama's is legit. I lived about 5 minutes from there for a while and we would go there frequently. The interior is super old school, and it's always fucking packed. Glad they got a 7.5 as it IS pretty decent.
Helpful hint, make sure you go to Carbone's on Randolph. This is the original. The other Carbone's aren't affiliated with it, and are nowhere near as good.
If anyone comes through minnesota make sure to get a kings burger :). Also Dudley's pizza is a bit basic but that's probably one of my favourite local slices, and spiral pizza. Black sheep is good too... but nothing beats homemade ;), well at least when your family used to own a pizza franchise in the 70s.
Definitely not and it’s not supposed to be in triangles only square cuts . It’s a pub style pizza which he didn’t mention hence why it make look like a heggies or lottza mottza cause those are pub style pizza’s. This the best pizza in St. Paul
Mamas is bomb dude. And I've had pizza from every big pizza city in the states. They make everything fresh and the sauce is super good. I agree it's a bit thick but that's kind of what you find in minnesota. they really like to let the dough sit and rise for a while.
You have ruined your scoring system. That pizza had no crust. You can’t say it not your style pizza than give it a high score. Makes no sense. Go to a real pizza town, Philly. #flyeaglefly
Philly does have lots of good pizza.. but mama's is pretty fucking tastey. I guarantee you it would surprise ya. It has an awesome crunch everytime and the sauce is as good as any place I've ever eaten.
