Always been a great product, and I am going back to the 1970's. As a born & bread NE Philly guy, I totally agree it is much similar to Santucci's Pizza.

I was at Pica’s yesterday. I have been at Pica’s for the past 55 years. I love all great pizza but the fact that you could not process the taste or the experience is a testament to Pica’s greatness and uniqueness. Also, while I am typically a pizza purist with no toppings, Pica’s is a place where the pepperoni is clearly better than cheese only. This is because the pep is sliced extremely thin, is under the sauce and does not contribute excessive grease. If you had known to order Pica’s “well done”, you would have likely given it an 8.5. Pica’s really isn’t pizza. It is something else. Pica’s should be eaten with a knife and fork inside at the table. If Pica’s is brought home in the box. Your oven should be at 350f. You put the box the paper, everything in the preheated oven. You resist the temptation to remove the box. The pizza is not ready until you smell the box beginning to burn. No sooner. This is Delco. It’s different. I can understand the immediate association with Santucci’s. That was a good catch. Both are great but completely unique flavor experiences.

I grew up in DelCO, Broomall. Couldn't afford to go to the games but later on in life I sat in the 700 level for a RedSkins game.

If you have tried Pica’s pizza and didn’t like it, give it one more chance by ordering a large, extra cheese, light on the sauce, well done pizza! Best decision you’ll ever make!

Has there been a visit/review of Marrone’s pizza in Ardmore at the edge of DelCo?? Must order with double cheese, but a favorite for years!!

Love Pica’s. Great memories of going there when I was growing up with my parents, brother, grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins. The food is great. Not just the pizza.

I’m from Delco (Yeadon) and I just ordered from Pica’s for the first time tonight. I’ve driven past it literally a thousand times. My first bite of my slice made me go to google and this video came up. Very funny and on point. This pizza is bomb! The best I’ve had in Philly Oh and I live about 7 minutes away from Pica’s in West Philly. Not 45 minutes away ☺️

You can be in philadelphia in about 4 mins from Pica's. Not sure the where the about 40 mins comes from. You would be in either North Philly or NJ with that time line. He doesn't know where philly is in relation to Upper Darby and he doesn't have a pallette for pizza.

Delco, just a hop, skip and a jump over the Philly line. A big replica of Philly with the group of little neighborhoods. Once you cross over Lindburgh blvd area, you're in ghetto azz SW Philly. Right across from darby creek flood zone central too. Alot of the 5 0 are really azzholes out there. And all the people in Ridley ( Ridley girls) are a stone throw away from real run down Chester...it's a hot n cold area really.some small areas are nice, but they are not known as a pizza mecca...Philly is packed with pizza joints, as you already know Dave....😎✌️😎✌️♥️🇺🇸

I can pick up a Delco accent the instant a native says "open", "water" or Eagles. From where Dave is standing, it's maybe 15 minutes to Philly. Just head down West Chester Pike through 69th street and you're in West Philly. Pica's makes a great, unique pie - a little spicy. Love it.

30-40 minutes from Philly? My man, you are like a 5 minute drive from west Philly there. You could get to center city (depending on traffic of course) in about 20-25 minutes from there. I don't know where you came up with 30-40 minutes? If you just take a look to your left you can see the skyscrapers in the distance.

PICAS Pizza is amazing, if you ever come thru Delco you should try it,been eating it my whole life. Its right on Westchester Pike. as your heading to Havertown or Broomall from 69th Street.

"I can't put this style in the 8's..." This is my biggest beef with Dave (pizza wise). Look at the "best" reviews he gives. All great pies, but there is a lot of similarity in style (and geography).
