Ridiculous. Bumping scores up or down just to avoid round numbers is so much more rookie scoring than giving a 9.0, particularly if you include the decimal.

I think it's more like a 100 point scale when factoring in the decimal and scoring say 80/100 or 70/100 etc, it just simplifies it into a 10 point scale where there's less distinction (8/10 or 7/10 respectively). So it's not so much that there can't be round numbers its more so that it "feels" rounded up or rounded down and less "accurate"

I would argue avoiding any round number IE 7.0, 8.0, 9.0 simply because you dont like round numbers is "rookie" scoring. It takes credibility away because you are now going to be manipulating scores simply to avoid round numbers. He even admits in this video that the last place he gave a 9.1 because he didn't want to give it a 9.0. If a pizza is better than an 8.9, but not as good as a 9.1 then you HAVE TO give it a 9.0.
