Justice for Brit Smith. I did not like Jojo Siwa's version of this song at all. Brit's version is a thousand times better. It's not perfect, but it's more cohesive, has more passion but into it, and is catchier overall. I could imagine this being a huge hit in 2012 (which was when this song was originally supposed to be released). I also hope someone eventually makes a rock/metal cover of Brit's version of this song, because it already kinda has a rock vibe to it (to me at least).
I do wanna have a serious talk about Jojo Siwa, though. I don't have much of an issue with her trying to break free from her kid friendly image, and rebranding herself to be more "edgy". I knew this was gonna happen eventually, since a lot of child stars go through this. What I do have an issue with is her defending child predators and abusers, trash talking the victims, and allegedly mistreating the child dancers on her reality show (as someone who has a chronic illness, and was hospitalized for it recently twice, and multiple other times through out my life, seeing how they treated that poor girl with spinal bifida really gets under my skin). It's painfully obvious that this whole rebrand is just meant to be a distraction from the abuse allegations. And it's honestly sad, because it's a fine example of the abused becoming the abuser. Almost all of the adults in her life have exploited, or abused her, so she probably thinks what they did to her is perfectly normal. It doesn't excuse her actions, but it does explain them.
Jojo rant aside, while I originally thought about making this about the Phineas/Bart/Isabella love triangle. But, that idea got scrapped, and I decided to just focus on Bart Simpson. We recently had Homer facing the consequences of his actions in the "Good For You" video, now it's Bart's turn.
