True. His first episode where he was bitching out Santo Padre over the pipeline and seemed like a prick for doing it? In hindsight he was only looking out for the whole MC not just one charter. Then he makes peace and patches over to them and after he dies, they don't give a shit and don't even look for him. What a shame that all the character development in season 5 made decent people out of the previous side characters like Downer and Terry while Santo Padre as a whole just got worse.
At the end of the day. Neither SOA or Mayans were good people. Likeable characters some with more moral compass than others. EZ was an example of hope for the club just like Jax was but in the end trying to keep their skeletons in their closet and playing off emotions got them killed. EZ was a great leaders but also a rat, and theres no words for what he did to Creeper. My heart sank seeing all santo padre killed off at the end but we have to realize they all were bad guys. Great show. And actors. Wish there would have been more to the ending though
Downer should’ve told her he’s not there to hurt her, that he was sent to check up on her, but she needs to leave town for her own safety give her the money and ticket at her door instead of making her get in his truck and pulling out his gun
This reminds me of that scene in Season 5 of The Wire when Snoop was going to kill Michael in her SUV just because everyone suspected he snitched. But just like Michael, that girl had good instincts to kill or be killed. Whatever we thought Santo Padre were in Season 1, they were not the "good guys" and never were.
i don't understand this at all. Why was this scene even necessary? This scene didn't change anything as far as the overall story of Mayans. Another scene and idea from Elgin James that wasted time away from the overall story that could have been replaced with something better.
They were going for Shakespearean themes like in SOA. Anyone who redeems themselves dies a tragic death like Downer. Anyone who sinks into their sin dies by being killed in a justifiable manner like the rest of Santo Padre right after they turned on EZ and Angel. Downer developed as a character into having a nicer side to him so he couldn't have shared their fate in the final scene. Or at least that's what I think they were going for, the writing this season has been mostly shit.
@@blueoak5262 none of them were angels they were all criminals lol what I'm saying is Creeper was by far the most loyal member of the charter. He made the huge mistake of telling secrets to Kody/Kate but he wasn't knowingly feeding info to a fed. In no way did Creeper deserve to be killed on the order of his own leader.
@@xbacongrizzler6929 EZ was the most loyal member of the chapter, he sacrificed his family, his health and even had his life taken by those who did everything to make prominent in the outlaw biker underworld. Creeper didn't accomplish what EZ did. Creeper could've accepted that things are unfortunate sometimes, he didn't question what happened to Riz too much so why question EZ? Hypocrisy and virtue signaling.
@blueoak5262 well firstly Creeper was never a president so the whole "he didn't accomplish what EZ did" isn't really an argument I was making. You're not wrong of course EZ accomplished a lot, winning the war with the Sons and putting the Mayans on top is a crazy accomplishment for sure, no doubt about that, but I wasn't arguing that Creeper accomplished more than EZ. Second, the Santo Padre guys for over an entire season(season 2 episode 8 up to season 3 episode 10) thought Riz was killed by the Vatos Malditos, aside from Taza. Creeper has no knowledge of what really happened there, I'm pretty sure only Bishop knew what Taza did to Riz. Creeper was directly told about EZ being involved with the feds so of course he's gonna question it, especially when he threw his freedom away specifically for EZ as well as the others. Do I think perhaps Creeper should have maybe listened to EZ and allow him to explain? Probably, but he was in a fucked up state of mind, if u remember when he was initially told about EZ he tried as hard as he could not to believe it until he talked to Smokey who then confirmed it. It wasn't like Creeper just ignored Taza killing Riz and jumped down EZs throat, he didn't know about Riz and was told by multiple sources that EZ did work with feds. Creeper felt betrayed and heartbroken and unfortunately there was no coming back from it. I will say however I have an issue with Bishop leading the charge to kill EZ while letting Taza walk, that did not sit right with me at all. They also should have allowed EZ to explain his side, especially after he led them to a victory in war. Granted killing a member would still earn u a death sentence so even removing any of the context to it u can argue both EZ and Taza should have received the Mayans version of Mr. Mayhem(I know they have a name for it but I forget what it is at the moment)
