Originally Techno started on the Potatoes because he needed Hot Potato Books, an item you can combine with another item to give it a permanent boost, but you can only use a certain amount of books on each item. Then he decided to go for the #1 spot after noticing how close he was, and the rest became history..lol, Techno had this way of hyper focusing on things, and this became his focus for awhile.

The time of the blood god has come to us once again. Praise be to technoblade, the maniac of Minecraft Monday, the hero of hypixel, the potato king, the syndicate leader, and the blood god. TECHNOBLADE NEVER DIES!!!!!

The potatoes are just potatoes. The Rank #1 spot is all that matters.

Skyblock is a multiplayer Minecraft server with a bunch of games and stuff. I hope you react to part 2 and 3 of the great potato war, if you think this one was funny then those two videos are even better. As for the being arrested thing I think it was just a joke, Helpers are people who work for the server and they were probably just wondering why someone was AFKing on the island for so long doing nothing.

For a bit of context (especially if you're going to watch the next videos): This *is* Minecraft, but a custom game mode for it that converts it to a sort-of Runescape-style MMORPG Potatoes are just one of the many resources available in-game. They're not an especially useful resource either, with their main use being the "hot potato book" which can be used to upgrade armor. Regarding the "helpers" that he was referring to police, they're just server moderators. SquidKid had built a couple of structures that broke minor server rules, so the moderators were removing said structures and likely giving him a warning.

In case anyone watching isn't aware, Technoblade was a god among legendary gigachads in Minecraft. Even casual Minecraft shidders like me knew of him and still mourn his far too early passing.

Potatoes are the best food in the game. I'm guessing this was only a point of pride.

I still miss Techno. :( But I hope he's having fun up in the heavens, usurping God's place in the rankings. Also, Skyblock is a particular set of mods for Minecraft where you basically play, as it name suggests, in the sky. Hypixel is a Minecraft server that has added a whole butt-ton of mods and additions to the game. Basically they've made it almost a whole new game.

Skyblock has a virtual economy of every single item that is normally in Minecraft. The potatoes are (for the most part) identical to real life potatoes and the same with all of the other real items (since potions obviously aren't real). The biggest difference is to upgrade the production of an item you have to use that same item. Hence the "Hot Potato Books" which you make with potato's and as Technoblade explained you also use the items you make from the items you produce to upgrade the things that produce them (in this case minions). Also the "ranks" are just titles you get through a variety of ways.
