In base load continuous power supply is required let's say for 24 hours, In peak load, power required only when the consumption of power is high let's say 4-5 hours Thanks

Sir ,I can't understand ,as you say to avoid the expansion of blades ,we have to do heat the blades of turbine after then we send the superheated steam to blades . What's meaning it. Pls tell me

ENGG JMI actually it is not correct.....i explained you....There are not only one turbine is used to rotate the generator's shaft....there are lots of stages of turbines....like low pressure turbine...high pressure turbine....some time intermediate pressure turbine also used.......when steam is flowing then the steam is expanding in turbine and lose their pressure and you can also say it's temperature......the blades of turbines are capable to bear 1200 degree Celsius temperature with out any expansion.....

when there is water in rainy season we use hydro power plant as base load plant and when there is no water or less water we use it as peak load plant?? how so?? if no or less water how can we meet the peak load??
