Base Strings Patch for Hydra

While trying to create an asian string instrument patch I have ended up with a pretty good base patch for many strings instruments. If you want I will guide you on how to create this patch in your Hydrasynth. This patch may be more specific to Hydra since it is using its specific waveshapes and modulation capabilities but it is an easy patch for Hydra.
Still struggling to Master for RU-vid so bear with me, but soon I will find a process to complete my videos in time, with quality.
PS: I am the worse classical music interpreter... Acknowledged :)

I just made this patch on the Deluxe and it sounds pretty great! will probably make a few tweaks but this was very helpful as there are few videos on how to make string sounds on the Hydra. Thank you!

Thx. I find creating a convincing string on Hydrasynth a sort of Holy Grail. I’m sure the machine can do it. I like your systematic approach. There is also some magic involved, some lucky incident. Finding those intricate high harmonics can be daunting. It easily can get harsh and artificial.

Totally agree, it’s a thin line there between digital artificial and something convincing. I could also have rounded off more with EQ but like you said, luck or intuition told me stop there.

This was epic! I had to make a few adjustments to make it sound to my taste. Could you please please please create a trumpet? Brass instruments. There's no proper tutorial online and I'm finding it quite difficult.

Let me know more about your experiences with the patch, and I am really glad to hear that it was useful for you as a starting point. I am planning a few different videos now since I will go to a remote location for a month. But I can get myself on prototyping a Brass patch to make a video about. Thanks for your comment.

Hey, you're super cool. Thanks for the reply. I'll let you know how I modified the patch a bit. 1.) Reversed the pitch bend on polytouch to go down instead of up 2.) Added a route in mod matrix for the polytouch to also close the filter cutoff.. so it gives a more dead sound(like a finger being pressed hard) as the pitch drops. 3.) Added tremolo: set up an infinite looping envelope with steep attack and decay and route it to the pitch in the mod matrix. It gives the tremolo effect as the bow glides across the strings and the fingers are modulated. I'm a violinist, so these are a few things I felt made it sound better to me.
