the simple way to correct this is to go back to making baseball pants the way they were made in the 80s and I remember whenever I was playing ball your pants didn't go down any further than 6 inches from the knee and they had just a little bit of elastic in them. Here's an interesting little tidbit of information. In Major League Baseball they actually have rules on the book that state.... All players on a team must wear identical uniforms during a single game. Now this was actually enforced or questions I should say in the 2007 World Series when Red Sox manager was questioned by Major League Baseball official whether or not he had a Jersey under his pullover. So on a technicality if a player doesn't wear stirrups and another player wear Stirrup socks or one player has long pants and another player has short pants on it's a rule infringement Lincoln technically be used against the team.

The second way is incorrect if you want it to look sharp and not come undone while you’re playing. You’re supposed to pull the pant legs up to your knees inside out, fold them down a few times, then fold the socks down over them (fold the sock to the point you want your pants to stop at on your legs) and pull the rest of the pants up. I’m 28 years old and I’m baffled that for 22 years I still am the only person Ive ever known who learned this the right way

Yes! Or, Inside out just below the knee a couple inches, depending on how bloused you want them to look. Fold the sock down over the hem of the pants, about two inches or so. If wearing stirrups and sanitary, fold stirrup over first, then sanitary. Last, pull pants up as normal to put them on. Bottoms of pants will have the perfect blousing. Classic. No rolling, tucking, or wrinkles.

@@paulbeaulieu210 This has been irritating me for years. I was taught in little league and im 55 now. They look like slobs nowadays. Show the socks, they look nice and are part of the uniform.

I try to do the pull up crinckly motion but it doesn't work for me because my pants slide down

The simple way to fix this is to have someone alter the pant for you. go to an alterations shop and tell them what length you want it and they'll cut it sew the elastic in and it'll be perfect every time.

Baseball pants used to be short and the leg would end just above the calf. You didn't need to pull up the leg or roll it.

Jory, the second way you demonstrated is the correct way and professional baseball should not allow the long pants worn all the way down and over the shoes. Also, you need to bend the brim of your cap. That flat bill looks ridiculous.

Yeah and you look like a complete slob. The players that started this trend where the fat players. Baseball has traditions for a reason. There's a reason there's teams called the Red Sox and the White Sox and when you don't show any socket all your spitting in the face of the heritage of those teams. And technically if you wear saggy pants you're violating Major League Baseball rules. All players must be identical in the rules clearly State this. • All players on a team must wear identical uniforms during a single game.• So if you have one player wearing saggy pants in one player wearing traditional pants one of those players can't play. this was actually brought up by Major League Baseball during the 2007 World Series. When the manager of the Red Sox was questioned by MLB during the game to whether or not he had a Jersey under his pullover. Yet for some reason MLB has not pushed the issue as of yet. personally I think wearing saggy pants looks just as horrible is the 1976 White Sox shorts. Oh yes in 1976 the White Sox uniform West shorts with socks.

Players of today wear their pants bunched over their shoes. It looks like they're midgets or little kids wearing hand me downs. The correct way to wear baseball pants is to have the cuff stop about halfway between the knee and ankle and with stirrups.
