How did I get tired of telling at lectures and on the Internet that a modern tram is not a bucket of nuts in the middle of a traffic jam. The problem is simple: there's no modern tram in Russia today, so people have already formed the image of poor cars on the streets. The closest to the normal tram was Chizhik in Petersburg ( • Чижик - самый современ... ), but even Moscow, with its multi-billion budgets, is still very far to the European level.
A modern tram is not just a new car without steps, it is first and foremost a quality service, where rolling stock is a small component of the journey. Therefore, the simple purchase of new cars will not solve the problem: you need to monitor the quality of the tracks, build platforms, enter the correct tickets and a normal schedule. Even the banal washing of the tram and the style of the ads inside - this is important!
Today I will try to correct the injustice and clearly show what high-quality public transport is and why we need a tram. To do this, we will ride through the streets of Swiss Basel and its foreign neighbors, take a look at the tram depot and see history.
Basel itself I showed: • Базель - здесь есть всё!
