I remember someone compared them to Jimmy Eat World and I was like “maybe a little”.... hearing this song proves them right. It’s like they only listened to Jimmy Eat World to influence this song
I’m not one to comment on RU-vid, but I felt the need to state the obvious fact that this album is gonna be absolutely amazing. Thank you Basement for being awesome
I'm also someone that doesn't really post comments on youtube, but, I'm not the biggest fan of this new production and the "cleaner" or "refined" singles they've brought out, but you can bet that I'm still going to buy this record because these guys deserve to be supported for every release they bring out
Fiddlehead is my favorite album of the year. What a piece of music. Not sure Fiddlehead was meant to tour anyway with Pat Flynn being a teacher (if I'm right), plus him and the other members busy with other projects like Glory, Free, Clear, and Alex with RFC and Basement.
@@alexandrecastellotti6244 a quality release like that deserves some serious touring, if for no other reason than to do the record any semblance of justice. I understand the circumstances but in all honesty, Fiddlehead's LP far exceeds most of their other projects combined. Heck they're probably one of the tightest unit around now musically speaking.
I'm very glad these guys didn't break up. That being said, this sounds a bit like pop music and I don't think I'll be able to get as into it as the more raw basement sound.
The production of this song seems weird. Its like, a really good song, but it feels kind of flat. Like its the same tone and volume throughout the whole song. It feels weird.
Definitely feels flat, production and mixing can really make or break the song tbh. Good song, but I feel you 100%. I want to feel the kick drum and bass in my gut
