I'm all for not including the charger. You are correct that the buyer might not have one yet. However, that assumption could be made for all devices requiring higher watt charging such as newer tablets and phones, and including it with all of them defeats the purpose of charger compatibility. I think we need to separate the purchase of chargers from devices, which was one of the goals with standardizing on USB-C for phones, for example, so we don't need additional (proprietery) chargers for everything. People will possibly be caught without a charger in their first device purchase or two for different wattage requirements, but then they're set. As you advised, getting a more powerful charging adapter with several ports is the way to go (same with battery packs, I feel). This cuts down on needing multiple chargers. My charger can run my laptop and still charge my phone, or charge my phone, tablet, buds, and Kindle. It has made traveling much easier. (I do carry a back up if I think it's critical and not traveling with someone else - something to keep in mind!)
