Kris, don't pay attention on previously bad comment. Don't forget that still have people who want to learn something about programming and bash scripting. This is exellent video!
I barley know anything about code, it is something that I've wanted to learn for a while now. What programs, or rather, what program are you using in this video. I like how it is color coded. Thank you!
Just wanted to put it out there that since I last commented, I was able to learn how to turn my chromebook into a laptop that I can download and type code programs on. Currently running Xubuntu xfce version 4.12. Had trouble getting vim to run, after trying for a while, finally figured it out. Thank you for your video sir!
Instead of buying the card reader for the pc. Could you not just use a card reader for a smartphone? And do all of this on the phone so you are portable?
I'm very happy to be referred to these deepweb experts, I just made about $35,000 within few days of working with ( deepwebservice01@gmail,com ) and they also raised my credit scores. They also help with cc carding, dumps with pin, bitcoins
+sagar thakkar Amazon title is "POSMATE - USB Mini Credit Card 3 Track Hi Lo Co Magnetic Reader Swiper for POS System Cashier Registry MSR" Hope that helps.
My only objection about this solution is that it's tightly coupled to the card format (schema). Formats/schema may vary depending on the card type. It may be addressed in another video. =)
I'm pretty sure Credit Cards are pretty standard. If you are looking for other cards, you'll have to look into how they are formated and write your code accordingly. Example, here is my code for Florida Driver's Licenses: pastebin.com/yg33C1A7
Any way to get the code onto another card? For example if I want to copy my friends costco card so that I could use it to get gas and give him back the original. Think thats possible?
try researching reader/writer/ encoder msr 206 would be enough to get you started, read the functions and beware you will want a reader/writer/encoder that can perform the most functions google search all is there you just gotta do the work, good luck and disk comes with product, including drivers, and software to install into your laptop plug and play product to usb input install disc, software drivers etc one swipe to read, one swipe to erase, edit, or add the amount you desire with the 10 key on your keyboard.
msr 206 reader/writer/encoder start there, underneath the black magnetic strip are lines each has more information, you can google and search education is available to all, problem is not everyone wants to do the research, and only want to obtain the said gains, cheaper reader can't process all tasks that are needed to read write encode,

Can there, hypothetically, be a way for a remote hacking exploit to take info from a database (that has the authentication info logged) and then use that to automatically actuate the card audio input/decoder?
The device i have looks almost exactly the same as your one but instead of a USB plug it has and ethernet plug. Will it still work the same way or will there have to be changes to the code?
I can guess that it probably will not work the same. Since mine works as a Keyboard, and I've never heard of a keyboard plugging into an Ethernet port.
The room key looks like it's a Kaba lock. I took apart my reader and marked where the data was on my card. It looks like it lines up with the 3rd track and the card is only has 3 tracks.
I tried duplicating a Costco card on to another one and they both read the same data and same field. However, when I go to Costco and they scan my duplicated card, they find out that the current card is no longer valid. Is mag stripe reader different and there's a field that only Costco reader can read? Any help on this is appreciated!

How do I make my own debit cards with pin numbers. No credit just debit. I'm new and wanna try it. On a prepaid card where I have to add money from my real account to the card. And then be able to place money back into account with the same card is that possible? Slide card enter pin pull money from my account put it on my card what I don't use at end of week swipe card put money back into my account. Is there any video on something like that
You can't. Make sure to work with your back. I'd recommend using a Credit card for safety, as you are not responsible for fraudulent charges and it's not your own money.
TumorYt bash is another term for Linux command line. You can use a Virtual machine to run Linux on Windows (I'm assuming your on Windows since Mac OS and Linux have bash/command line. You can look up tutorials on VMs on RU-vid. I'd recommend Ubuntu, arch, or mint distributions of Linux. I don't care about my grammar or sentence fluency so if you choose to tell me the I spelled something wrong I know I wrote it that way just for you so you could show off your amazing correcting skills!
He could dump it all to notepad. In some cases that would be fine, depending on the scenario. Obviously in the case of credit cards that would be a bad idea. You want to process them and move on. You wouldn't want to store them in a plain text file. As a merchant you are legally responsible for securing that time of information. Also, in most cases people are going to want to do something with the information that is swiped. Weather it be a credit card, gift card, access card, or some other type of card, I can't think of a useful situation of dumping it into notepad. It that won't even save the information without keyboard or mouse interaction. Also to answer your "Why all this bro" question. Because Mason Curtis was trying to be helpful and give some advice to someone looking for help.

I actually have been planing on retouching this topic soon. I'll be looking a script I wrote that runs in the back ground and watches the device, so that you don't have to be in a certain program to use the device. Those videos might not get done for 2 or 3 months, but here is some code I've worked on so far. pastebin.com/uSMJrudQ pastebin.com/Emx8Bwgy pastebin.com/dtJCpL8a pastebin.com/Pj1n6KFQ
@@DigitalMetal that's amazing. Thank you. I'm traveling in car right now, but I'll check it out asap. I would love to commission you to assist for a bit, if I could use help. If you would consider it. Gregoryjamesward@protonmail.com
I've actually looked into getting an RFID reader for some projects. Not necessarily for Credit Cards (I'm pretty sure I don't have any cards with the chips built in, and I don't recommend having one). But, they would still be fun for other projects.
Kris Occhipinti the security with magnetic readings on credit cards like that are really bad. They are realy easy to scam by reading and reuse the information in these magnetic strips later, without the need to have the card. RFID is bad because these can be read without you know about it, from your pocket. The only one with any security are the cards with a smart card in them. They can be sent data and encrypt the answer sent back. Then the bank is the only one that can decrypt and verify that the card is yours and can't be used without the card. Magnetic card and RFID are more like using HTTP and the smart card is like using HTTPS, without heartbleed problem. ;-)
Well, the Magnetic Stripe Just has the info that is already on the card (excluding the verification code on the back). Name, Number, Expiration date. If you order something online, you'll need those things. So it doesn't matter if they are on the Magnetic Stripe or not, they are still on the card. Trick is, don't give your card to those you don't trust. RFID is different. Just having it on you means that some one can read it. I don't know much about the smart card, but I'm assuming that the info is still printed on the card and does the smart card chip interact with the magnetic stripe? If not, you still have that issues. In the end it doesn't matter for the end user to much. Credit Card Companies will never charge you for a perches you didn't make, and if you even question one, they will refund the money and over night you new cards. The problem is when people use Debit/Checking Cards. Those are still protected, but not as well. If there is a problem it can some times take a week or two to get new cards. Credit Cards also offer other protection like warranties and refunds if a store refuses to return an item. Basically, if you keep an eye on your statements you will be ok. Credit Card Theft is not like Identity Theft that follows you around for years.
Kris Occhipinti Well if you use the chip there are no need to worry about the name, number and expiration date. Not for the card owner or the one charging your card. And as I wrote, we mostly doesn't use or want to use service where you give out your card number etc. We prefer chip, as it is more secure and it is impossible to use without the card. Which card number isn't. And the bank gives you a card reader for home use. But as you shown. Many use cases are secure enough with magnetic cards. Your money shouldn't be one of them.
Kris Occhipinti the thing with smart card is that it got a small computer with a asymmetrical signature key that it uses to encrypt data, and that key can not be read from outside. The data is received from bank and sent to smart card, which encrypt it and send it back. The computer then send that to the bank and the bank can use the other part of the asymmetrical key to verify that it is the right card encrypting the data. So no way you can fake this without knowing the keys. That is how the bank can verify that it is the card what is used. No connection to the magnetic tape. So you need a smart card reader connected to your computer, which the bank gives you. And most online shops support this, like Amazon etc.
Chapo Gucci he only was reading...to write you must buy a reader/writer... which is bigger and more expensive (but cheap still cheap and easy to find).
It's the same as typing text on a keyboard. So you input it into a text feed that saves text. A simple example in BASH would look something like this: read card echo "$card" >> file.txt
Right but wouldn't that create a separate file each time a card swiped? I would like to be able to swipe multiple cards, then when opening "file.txt" each data set would be in that one file. Does that make sense? BTW thank you so much for your response. Would love to connect with you on social media facebook.com/BGRcity
This would create a new file: echo "$card" > file.txt This appends to the end of a file: echo "$card" >> file.txt See the difference? One has a single ">" and the other has double ">>". So, you could put this in a loop and swipe cards all day and it will add each swipe to a new line in the same file: while [ 1 ] do echo "Please Swipe Card" read card echo "$card" >> file.txt done That's should be all you need if you're using BASH. If you wanted a GUI you could use HTML for the GUI, and have Javascript submit the text when you swipe. Hope this helps.
@cris or who runs that channel can you make me a pastebin with the save credit cards dad to a txt file because I do not know how to an that would help me out a lot and where do I download that editor Thanks in advance

+Jason Thomas No, you would need to buy a card reader/writer, which are a bit more expensive. But, I believe you can get them for under $100. Check Amazon.
***** I don't know about a "prop card", but if it has a read magnetic strip, and the correct number of tracks, you would write data to it with a card writer. The device I have is just a reader. Writers are a bit more expensive. The magnetic strip is basically the same as what you would find in a cassette tape. In fact, you can make a card reader (and I guess writer) using the head from an old tape deck.
***** That being said, I don't know if there are any legal or contractual issues with doing this. Obviously if it's not your card you don't want to be doing this. But, if you are for some reason wanting to make a back your card there still might be either laws or rules you agreed to with your bank that do not permit doing this. If you need an extra card, just ask your bank.
how can you save and ive believe is missing the credit cards security number the usual 3 digit code can you make that code for the 3 digit security and how to save each card on the same text file thank you bro
You aren't the first person to ask this. The answer is that you can't. That is the whole point of the 3 digit code. It something that you enter to confirm you have the card. It is not on the magnet stripe, because if it was, it would be pointless. You will have to manually enter it.
Hi Poohbear,This is grace from greenrfid company,we are a card manufacturer,if you need the card, please contact me,my Email is grace@greenrfid.com.Nice to mee you.
Kris Occhipinti then how do people use skimmed cards? Because even online you must enter cvv...and say if I wanted to go and buy Bitcoin I need the cvv.
so basically can use any card on wallet to use as "password" password is that unique all data what is read LOL. is this last thing you ever need or better buy reader/writer maybe that 5 track. comes cheaper than later upgrade lol. no need umbrella corp card when can just use any card LOL

Anytime im asked for cc info it also includes a cvv number i.e three digit code.... correct me if I'm wrong but you can find this code in the second track...exp/ security code (notc cvv)/0000012300000...and 123 being your cvv.
I think you might be asking me how you write to the magnet strip. If so, you need to get a device that can write to the strip, which mine does not, so I have never done it myself.

no it's not a good question! read the other comments before asking ridiculous questions over and over. Kris took his time to answer this question already. Show some respect.
old days still in some where you copy bumped text on card to paper. they charge your card you need trust "shop" then came magnetic reader you swipe card. same process you need trust "shop" then comes rfid you wave card in air. you still need trust "shop" basically you cant do nothing even you have someone credit card number still need magic number PIN CVV lol i still not get all movies and series where they give card to waitress and they take card to back room LOL how it actually work they cant just charge card it comes as bill and then you pay it LOL or today you airwave and write pin or in shop you not need pin it just sometimes verify pin maybe 10 times!? but still if someone have your card they can use it to buyu LOL very secure well its all human made systems you need trust "someone" LOL and all we need that simple PIN if you know it you are owner of card. charge me
@kris Amazing Knowledge, I am a current CS major, and I'm curious to know if its possible to do this to Arcade Game Cards to be able to display the credits in it and possible make the program change the credits. Subscribe and like thank you
Hi friend,This is grace from greenrfid company,we are a card manufacturer,if you need the card, please contact me,my Email is grace@greenrfid.com.Nice to mee you.
You mean the CVV (Card Verification Value)? You won't find that on the magnet strip. That kinda the point of the CVV, to prevent someone who is intercepting your swipes from being able to use the card.
SharpShooter No. That is the point of the CVV. It's printed on the card. It is not anywhere else on the card. If it was someplace else, it would make the CVV pointless.
