Oh man, I really miss these great days. All those 37's, 47's, 20's, 25's, the amazing thrash, the rail-gen and everything else...ah good times. When I look at trains now, they just bring tears to my eyes.
Once a crank always a crank !!! When you became of age, bashing was a choice, it was either loco's or birds and I once flagged a shag for a Deltic at Retford 😂😂😂😂
Bashing is over really, was an 87 basher in the late eighties different breed to tractor bashers! Concept was the same though crazy overnights using the heart of england rover into Euston Good Times, bring back loco hauled!
sorry to be so off topic but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot the password. I would love any tricks you can offer me!
@Chaim Wilder i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
These boys are crazy and sometimes drink too much alcohol but they do have good taste following the class 37's -- these engines are real workhorses and one of English Electric's finest. The Bashers is rare document and thanks for posting it.
I used to love sticking my head out of the window esp behind a 33 or 50 (Southern Lad), Dam those new units with lockable doors n air con. When I go on a Railtour I stick my head out on certan parts of the route. What does the waving of the arms up n down (chopping effect or flaming mean..?
What is so special about class 37 locomotives, that get you so excited apart from the growling engine sound, that makes class 47s for example look and sound dull in comparison? Is there anything exciting about the slightly bigger class 40s, that look similar with the big nose and three piece windscreen, most of which vanished by the mid 1980s?
@thetoecutterr Agreed...you spent your life leaning out of a train window and yelling? That is hardcore? And then you may fuck with normal rail service to get your rocks off and ride on a old ass train?
I agree with the trainspotter thing. If I were to tell someone I 'bashed' trains, they'd think I walk over to it and hit it. I spot, phot and bash trains, but to keep things simple I just say I am a trainspotter...
Exellent video, long live the class 37,eh up Bashers,Im in my sixties and still up for it!Ah well whats left, electric trains/buses,OH........................SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. You forgot Modo. Oh, and as I remember the "Welsh Quarry" video was shot at Blaneu Ffestiniog, and we demolished an old derelict house. I think Bally shot it?
People like this do not only have no respect for themselves, but to the poor railway workers who have to work overtime to ensure the safety of the running of the railway becuase of irresposible behaviour like this. Just try flailing on my train! You'll soon find yourself back on a platform with no train to lean out of
