In a Bishop's conference at the Vatican conducted behind closed doors, the Pope was reportedly asked whether homosexual men should be allowed to be ordained and become priests and his answer was 'no'.
Kevin O'Sullivan questions what people may think of the Pope not wanting gay men to become priests. He says: "Bit late now, Your holiness."
Church of England Christian Commentator, Reverend Peter Ould thinks most homosexual priests are in the Roman Catholic and C of E churches. He says: "To be fair, in the normal Orthodox world, it doesn't really matter what your sexuality is, it's more about what you do sexually with your body."

No it isn't. The idea that the only difference between normal sexuality and homosexuality is where you want to poke your member is a gay-invented lie. In most cases, homosexuality comes with a lot of other baggage.

"Bit late now your holiness?" Oh, the absolute world of unconscious irony in that statement, Kevin. You've just tacitly admitted that the problem was never priests abusing minors, it was homosexuals abusing minors.

A recent book 'Inside the Closet ' an account of Vatican life researched over many years, revealed around 80% of priests are gay there. Italian families would traditionally send 'gay' sons to the priesthood to avoid family shame .

I'm an atheist, married, 3 sons. It is no one else's business how consenting people find love and companionship, not popes, not God.The problem with religion has always been children, and this is just a diversion away from the real problem in religion.

What does Scripture say re this subject? It is against the practice of homosexuality. A theme (besides the saving theme) of scripture is the creation of man and woman, one man marrying one woman, and so the procreation of the human race. If you don't marry for whatever reason, you should stay celibate. I not marrying but living with a person of the opposite sex with sexual intercourse, then I reckon God sees it as good as marriage. So, be careful how you act etc.
