One of the destinations in Bashkortostan that offers outdoor activities for adventure seekers is Bashkiria, which is the largest nature reserve in Bashkortastan, covering an area of around 8000 square kilometers.
This nature reserve, founded in 1932, is located in the Ural mountain region, which is one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world.
Some of the animals that can be found in this nature reserve are deer, bears, wolves, lynx, foxes and reindeer.
Within the Bashkir Nature Reserve there are about 700 species of flora, 200 species of birds, 51 species of mammals and 27 species of fish. In the forests of this natural reserve you can find 14 rare species of the orchid family and the Bashkir wild bee.
