dynamics are so important. ive been learning the piano since 2018 but i never had a good teacher who could guide me through the syllabus. in fact until 2020 i didnt follow a syllabus. i changed teachers and im on my way to give my initials. i hope everyone starting out ALWAYS asks their teachers to focus on dynamics JUST AS MUCH, if they arent already. it becomes VERY easy to play without dynamics, which will most definitely give u a problem once u sit for the exam.

It's hard to hear a difference of mf and mp.. Basically, mf is a volume between p and f, so goes with mp. Mf should be a bit louder than the middle of p and f and mp should be a bit softer than the middle of p and f

I’ve been told many times I have a soft voice but I really want to improve my voice and technique;-;
@humanangel8007
@humanangel8007 3 года назад
Hi, just wanna say that having a soft voice doesn't make you a bad singer, it's completely normal that people have different vocal 'sizes' bc we're all different. If your voice is naturally soft, you shouldn't push it to make it sound 'big'. One important thing in improving your singing technique is accepting your voice the way it is and not trying to sound like someone else, that actually can cause damage, so explore your voice all you want but beware of your boundaries :)
@humanangel8007
@humanangel8007 3 года назад
@@mlem8390 my voice is getting deep with my age too. But you should just explore your voice within your boundaries. You can develop your upper register (I'm developing mine as well) if you want to be able to sing high but don't force your voice to be high, accept your voice as it is!! I also struggled with it, believe me, but as the years of singing went on I discovered my strengths and I wouldn't trade my tone for anyone else's, not even my favorite singers' tones.

@brianna9822
@brianna9822 5 лет назад
Sorry this is late but terraced dynamics are described as an expressive style of playing found in some early pieces. The volume levels would shift abruptly. They would do this without using gradual increases in sound(crescendos and decrescendos.) 🙂

What is the sound decibel of pianissimo
@Libertyparkmusic_LPM
@Libertyparkmusic_LPM 3 года назад
Great question! Traditional dynamics in music are based more on relativity than exact volume. The piano (soft) dynamic of a piece that ranges between pianissimo at its lowest and mezzopiano at its loudest may sound like the mezzopiano or even mezzoforte of a piece that goes from piano to fortissimo. To be sure, when a composer write pianissimo they definitely want it to be soft, but there's no exact designation or decibel level regarding how soft. Remember as well that the measure of decibels is also relative; a pianist in a concert hall will have to play a louder version of pianissimo than a pianist playing in a close room for it to be heard at the same volume by the listener.
