In today's video we introduce another portrait painting. This time, the approach will begin with a tutorial on flesh tone mixing. We will then progress onto the basic planes of the face (cheek bone, forehead, ...). The entire process (every brushstroke) of this portrait painting has been filmed and you will receive uploads of it regularly. It is all in real time and I guide you along the entire process as I am painting.
As for the large painting we started earlier, you will receive new videos on it soon. I just want some variety to my content, rather than spending 4 weeks worth of uploads on one large painting.

Thanks for mentioning the fear that the awkward/goofy stage of the beginning of any painting produces. At every new portrait I feel completely lost and out of control, and I paint from life 4 times a week. That apprehension just never goes away. And then I keep going and end up with something alf decent.

Great video as always, Yupari. Your explanations are very clear and I enjoy hearing your thoughts on the topic of art and composition. I'm not a trained artist, but I do try to teach others about portrait drawing on my own channel from the perspective of a non-artistically trained person. So I love watching you because I feel like I get a little art education from your videos, which end up helping me convey those principles to my own followers. So thank you for being an inspiration and motivation for others like me. - Jeff

This is a really great painting demo because the explanation of what materials are being used and why you make each decision in painting is so easy to take in. Thank you very much!!

I think your perception of proportion is improving. Ala prema with no measurement. Very bold. Kudos.

Good Oh Yup...don’t have to keep your vids short on my account. I sometimes watch your older paintings which were longer just because it’s more real for me in that most of us take hours when we can hit the easel. Power on my friend.

Titanium white is a cold white, for me the biggest difference is this one, I find that titanium kills too much warmth of the skin. I tried to use zinc white but the best result for the midtones is to use titanium buff it's a warmer version of titanium white and also has less opacity. Give it a try.

Is it possible you can do a video on the breakdown of painting/drawing the geometrical shapes/planes of the face for us who have a difficulty recognizing them? That’d be an amazing video🙏🙏🙏
