Basic Fly cutting with Cypcut (english) 

I have seen it done and have done it a few times. Generally using a more powerful laser than needed for just cutting and high pressure inert gas like nitrogen is going to work better than compressed air or oxygen. The goal is to keep the metal cool and prevent the metal from burning. I want to say I saw a 3/8 inch hole cut in 3/4" carbon steel with a 10kw laser, which seemed to be close to the smallest hole on that thickness with any sort of reliability. Anything smaller is probably best to drill on a CNC mill.

A few things could be at play. Try moving the drawing to primary document, see if it will modify in that screen. I don't think flycutting/scancutting can be done in the parts menu. But once you modify the drawing in primary document you can send it to the parts menu..

It has a very limited drawing menu. You can make some very basic shapes, there are some useful preprogramed shapes, but I've maybe used them five or ten times over the past 5 years.

cypcut coedge common cutting but be careful your size. compensation, toolpath do it. Always check and try. Other way combining common surfaces in another drawing program.
