*How to hold the needle holder ? By thumb and ring fingers, and the index finger on the joint of the instrument *tip 2 : the tissue penetration motion is done by twisting the wrist

So for this video you did 4 throws. A surgeon’s knot topped with a square knot. Theoretically the surgeon’s knot (first 2 throws) should adequately hold the wound, but people often do a third overhand knot on top of the surgeon’s knot to secure it.

I have a doubt. Should the knot be placed lateral to the incision so that suture removal is easier? Or is it ok if the knot is directly over the wound?

Riy99 Bl The knot is never directly over the wound . All knots are to the side of the wound and all knots on the same side .

Even using sterile gloves cannot be claimed as sterile as they lose its sterility once the pack is opened. He should have told to disinfect the hands or gloves properly
