I had a Brother Scan N Cut and sold it because I didn't know how to use. I found it so hard to figure out their design program. You made it seem much easier. Thank you for all the time you take to help your viewers.
I have a SNC and when you transfer your design over to your machine you don't scan it, it's already there. All you do is click on the icon with a cloud and the machine (located on the top left of screen) and it will load onto the mat. Very simple. Also, the new SNC is so quiet you can hardly hear it, plus it has the auto blade so you don't have to fiddle with your blade. I really love my SNC. Love the shirt!!!! You are aweosme.
I have had and used a Scanncut for a number of years. It really is just one step to transfer the file to the machine. I am not sure what you were doing there in the beginning. Glad you are showing the machine though. I love mine also.
The other scraps that you have left over from weeding are really good for die cutting and used as little embellishments such as stars, hearts, and even letters.
Thanks so much for using the Scan n Cut machine for one of your videos!!!! You did add a couple steps you didn’t need to add when you went to the machine. It automatically transfers to the machine and you retrieve from the cloud icon. It is one step only. You can do a scan of the file with vinyl on to see if you have your design on the vinyl which is wonderful if you are using a scrap piece of vinyl! The new Scan n Cut machines are whisper quiet and have an automatic blade. Again, thanks for doing a video of the Scan and Cut. I have been using my 2 Scan n Cuts 650W and the new SDX125 machines for over 2 years and I did learn a few things from your video!
I have a scan n cut. Love it. I use inkscape software to create everything then upload into canvas. Send to machine through wifi. Just make sure from inkscape you save as plain svg to maintain design size.
Such a pretty pink good job! Hope your hubby is doing ok with his eyes. I had cataract surgery a few years ago and was so happy to be able to see again and get rid of my glasses.
Glad you're doing this with the Scan N Cut. I have one, it's not wifi so I use a usb drive, and it's really not complicated at all. My issue with the Scan N Cut is the pressure and blade depth. I understand the newer ones have the automatic blade similar to the Cricut and the ability to send wirelessly. That said I like my Cricut better but I'm not getting rid of my Scan N Cut either! Love your videos, look forward to every one of them.
Hi Betsy, great to see you trying out the Scan n Cut. You did make things a little more complicated than they needed to be, but hey! We all started somewhere! Great job x
I have a scan n cut. Dont scan first what you need to do push pattern instead at the top you see the machine. Press that and it will transfer the file to the machine. If you want to see the vinyl you can do the above and then scan in the background.
I have a ScanNCut and I love it, great to see you giving it a go, I have learned so much from you so please feel free to email me if you want to know anything about the machine x
No, there not extra steps. actually she made a mistake. She was supposed of press the pattern button first, then the cloud button and that was it. But she hit on the scan button instead. Plus she did admit but she still learning how to use the brother scan and cut machine.
I'd love for you to offer multi cutting machines with the same pattern ideas on Patreon site. I LOVE that you use Cricut but..... everyone should have a bit of your Awesomeness! Lol
I am not sure which model you are using. I have a ScanNCut and can send files to the machine without loading material. Then I load my material and cut. Don't need to scan it before cutting unless you want to move design on screen to make sure you are on a certain place on material.
I'm a little confused... Maybe because I'm watching on my phone and can't see what was on the little SNC screen... But why did you send it again to the machine? I'd that normal to send it twice? Or would you typically load vinyl, then send the file to cut? Thanks, Betsy!! I've had a SNC sitting on the shelf for a year cuz I don't know how to use it!
Cuttin Corners Vinyl You only need to send it once and material or mat do not have to be loaded. You did a fantastic job considering you are just learning this machine. I learned a few things from you on canvas and I have been using my Scan n Cut for over 2 years! Would love to see more videos from you using the Scan n Cut! Thanks for venturing out!
I have a question about the t shirt guide. I bought the9 x 9 because I have the 9 x 9 easy press and mat. The tshirt guide does not go to the end of the mat so how do I know where the center is on the t shirt if the guide does not fit the entire easy press mat. I dont have a heat press so I bought the t shirt guide to use on the easy press. Do I need a bigger tshirt guide?
Darlene Venus if your mat is (ie) 9.5 inches wide you would center your shirt on mat as normal. When you place your T-shirt on mat close to top of shirt you should center guide on mat leaving a quarter inch on each side. Hope this helps.
