Part of The Shear Zone Channel. Cross-sections are drawn in geology to illustrate interpretations of the relationships between rock units and to predict the geological structure of the subsurface. Here we go through a simple method for section construction - in a simple manner, contrasting two approaches - one of which works and one which doesn't!
