Sima main here I use him a lot and very good with him . I have 63 percent win rate with him . He very strong and deadly late game . The damage scale good . But to maximize his potential you hav to pick and choose your fights wisely with him because if you miss his skills it put u in bad situation. His damage comes from his passive which have good range and hit hard . How I play is I let me team engage and dive in to pick off the adc or mage . His ultimate is so good u can come from across the board and dive the fight . But he also have flaws like he won’t win many one and one engagements and also once he gapped it so hard to win with him . But really more about picking and choosing when to fight and also the team . If you get matched up with bad teammates it make it hard .
Anytime bro . Late game he is a monster especially with his ult . Play around his ult don’t dive in unless u have ult and wait until a team fight to use it and kill the damage then move out
What you didn't mention or probably realize is how crazy his magic lifesteal if you know how it works. His 1st skill have a sort of expanded souls where it will left behind n get dragged to his new position, it coming back to sima yi restore his hp.

I do several kind of build, he work best with atk spd arcana and a little of 64+atk spd magic pierce and the rest for m. lifesteal. Building the atk spd enchanced b atk do more dmg since it do double dmg each hit instead of that per 3 second enchanced one. (u need more or around than 40% atk spd to do 8-9 hit in one sitting, not using any atk spd item in max lvl only give him 14% atk spd and do 6-7 hit max) Utilizing that item atk spd and passive also arcana passive, it will do you more than completing his magic lifesteal item. Do you know that smaller magic lifesteal item already have 20% m lifesteal? Instead buy that then finish other items 1st. U can finish it as 3rd or 4th item. As a Sima Yi mid main, ur only problem is surpress n very hard cc. U can kinda spam him but on the lowest match up possible, u only snowball early untill u get counter cc'ed later so utilize building one shot and fast b atk and finish early. I can say this because mid sima yi snowball faster from assist n kills. U don't need to play in jungle and waste 1 item slot for jungle item. At lvl 4 with team gank u can start farm kill and u clear lane fast with 2nd skill n passive, so another tips is that better use him as midlane. Don't use him if ur support is smthg like ming and top lane is not sustain.

You can only at max trigger the passive with full combo twice or probably even can't(only once). Why? Well, if you fight something like xiao qiao the only way to burst her down is to use all of your skills immidietly including your passive and it can be finished under 3 second which means it only trigger item passive once. Golden holy sword not only let you hit more, it doesn't have cd! Ult+ba+s.2+ba+s.1+ba here you do 3 ba but with SoS you only enchance one ba, but with GHS you instead enchance all ba dealing more dmg overtime. Another play is to use only s.1+ba or that and s.2+ba. And waiting for 3 sec is just TOO LONG that time probably already give you 5 chance of ba and you wasted more dmg using SoS(enchance 1) instead of GHS(enchance all 5+). ¹Note: you have only 20% cooldown reduction, you can try changing your arcana for cooldown but that will lower your dmg. This will be your problem so be smart. ²Note: it's so hard to sacrifice one of the core builds to change to optional items so ban your counter picks: princess frost, liu shan, donghuang, liang and most hard cc enemies or that can counter your roam potential. Xiao qiao or daji and some other can be outplayed. Playing close range gank mages like him is to get gold with more roam and kills because you're going to have hard times fighting ranged mages on wave clear. Use 1st skill not to approach but bait skills like xiao qiao's 2nd skill. If it hits your body while you're transforming in 1st skill just simply move elsewhere and ur souls will get back to you giving you some healing. (tips: it sustain you but try not to tank much). ³Note: when bb(build buy) try to understand item trees so you know what small items need to buy. By small magic def/pshycal def if you feel like u need it. If you later still need it, get the bigger one but sell them later. That for def, if you feel like you can't e Penetrate hard buy smaller pen items or maybe u need wierd dmg, buy stonw of demon, it works like scepter. Maybe u need more dmg so buy grand staff but again 1st thing 1st only buy smaller items of your full build but deviant with other items for your gameplay and sell them later and *only buy deviants that you won't finish* if only you know it's worth it. Look at the gold, small items can be pricey too.
I think anti mage is understatement. This hero can shutdown any enemies that heavily rely on skill combo, like jing, luna, loong. I love it when i played arthur and poking enemy luna to cause insta death. Ofc the only downside is it relies on teammates backup and followup. But what doesnt in this game? Lol
Nice gameplay. I thought Sima Yi was useless until I saw you jump 2 players to finished them off. He remind me of the Spy from TF2. My favorite game. I still have video backstabbing 11 players 😅
@kyouitv mmm idk what a good buff for him they would give but maybe more damage reduction on first ability and better energy management. But damage he doesn't really need
@@gonukiee i think Its just same as the jungler Sima Yi. Moreover, it will be faster to gain more stacks if you kill an enemy or participate in killing for an assist.
I actually downloaded the game and it's funny how clunky he is even though he's an assassin, his damage is pathetic too, if you miss his ult no chance you're kill any adcs or mages
@@kyouitvyeah but if you miss, you get blown up before you reach their adc especially late game, even if you don't die immediately and get to the adc somehow, chances are you dont kill with just 2 skills left
@@phongnguyenhoang6430 you basically nad at using him. Luckily my miss chance on his Ult is very low and I can still kill enemies without relying on ult, thanks to his passive. If you read on his skills you will know how to use hin
