Hi guys, to get a copy of the Google Sheets file make it sure you are signed in using your email. Next, go to “FILE” and hit the “MAKE A COPY” file so you can use the tables for your measurements. All links 🔗 are in the description box. 📦 so I hope this helps!
Thank you! I followed this and made a perfect fit foundation pattern! I've never been able to find a pattern drafting method that works for me. I have trouble because I have a very large bust and small chest and waist measurements, but it worked really well! I've drafted so many patterns from this foundation now! Thank you thank you!!
Is there a way to transform this basic torso in a basic bodice ( with one dart)? Maybe by slashing one line into the armhole and closing the dart that we don’t want?
Hi there is no available pattern making book for this. This method is what I use from my previous school and I edited some of the procedures and calculations to make it my own. I am currently writing a basic pattern making book hopefully I will be able to release it this year. Hope you’ll stay tuned
Yes Go for it! Regarding the Kypris dress form, I am not familiar with this brand. But, since dito naman tayo sa pinas, try searching Bacolod Mannequins and Dress form co. Manila. They really have good dress forms. May kamahalan but it’s good to invest na rin sa professional tailor’s dress form. 😇 You browse their products sa Shoppee and Lazada. (Actually magoorder ako ulit nang dressform sakanila pero size ko hehe)
Sorry but the design system comes from my school plus a little bit edit from yours truly. I am writing a book for basic pattern making and I will include this
The overall fit. This fits better than any other design systems for basic torso foundations, this requires little to nothing adjustments. But still requires contouring depending on what garment you want to use this basic torso block for. Like for example: Bustier, strapless foundation, v-neckline garments etc…
Basic torso is also known as as the dress block. With basic torso block the bodice is also included so whenever you want to draft a top or something only until the waist you can also use the basic torso block.
@@LAMODÉLISTE so sweet of you thank you so much for explaining I was searching these 2 terms for the last 20 minutes to get a basic understanding. I have seen Creators upload videos in the name of basic bodice patterns there is the torso
