If you've been to basic training, then this is one of those moments you never forget. If you've never had the pleasure of a BCT haircut, let's get you in the chair: bit.ly/2Y4O6ZX
0:09 That guy shaves you're head like he's shaving you're brain cells, I remember people's heads bleeding when they got out of his chair, he's also a very angry dude 😂😂
I'm not too convinced i can unfortunately, but i do hope one day i can sit in one of those chairs as they're buzzing my head. I've always wanted to be a soldier

I will carry that honor the rest of my life!!!!!! Now my son carrys that honor on his shoulders.
This is the most underrated hair cut in the world, but I love this. Couple of years ago I got this hair cut on summer & since then I never looked back, I clipper shave my head 2 - 3 times a month. It is such a neat and sophisticated haircut. Thanks to army for providing such a great service for these people. you are doing wonderful job 👍🏻
Yup and the military misses out on some great guys because of it too. They want to strip you of your identity yet it’s the various identities that come together to create strength. Makes zero sense and the Army can’t justify it beyond a bogus tradition
Joey has been cutting hair for a long time, saw him back in 2015 when I went through the Infantry school at Fort Benning. Joey was the best barber out of the others.
I'm curious, what if I have fashion color dyed hair? I know it's gotta get shaved anyway, but do I have to dye it back to natural looking before basic training? Or can I just come in to basic training for it to get shaved?
How often can u get an head shaved? I asked cuz as a civilian, I shaved my head bald 👩🏾🦲 by weekly. I wonder since I won’t be able to bring my own clipper will I be able to get it every two weeks.
It all depends on the command you fall under. They usually provide a time each week for you to get this done, but sometimes it is a couple weeks depending on the schedule.
@@nationalguard my head is lopsided and I always wanted to join so bad I don’t take shit from no one but it stops me it’s my parents fault but it is what it is man..
To be honest I have box braids all around not that long , but they reached like 1 inch this month but , it’s crazy because my hair grows fast asf for this kind of hair type so I’m not even mad 🤷♂️as long as I can get my fade afterwards I won’t have to have cause problems with anyone lol, because that being bald shit is out the door afterwards
Honestly tho But my hair is real long, especially when blow dried I applied to join and I'm gonna go do the test at MEPS Tuesday Hopefully I pass 😞 Update:I passed yaaay!!
Reven Replay Unfortunately I don’t think you meet the requirements to get promoted based off college credit. However, you should get promoted for JROTC. You need to get in touch with a recruiter about this, and do your research.
You act as though these haircuts are permanent. You don't have to stay bald the whole time you are in the service. This is just basic training requirements. Sure, you can't have long hair in the service, but you can still have enough hair that you can style into a cool look. They even allow servicemen to dye their hair nowadays.
Yeah, I’m going to school for cybersecurity and have been doing it for a while. I’d bet there are more people like me that won’t cut their hair. Just look at the Linux community. r/unixsocks is a good example.
Bruh it's not a ridiculous tradition, it's very practical for the military. If you give up from enrolling in the military because of this then you weren't a good fit in the first place
@@projectx5154 military doesn’t want you thinking for yourself. Rather shave your head turn you into a robot to go and fight big money’s war while bombing innocent families overseas.
That is great! To join the Army National Guard without prior service, you must meet these mandatory requirements: 1) Be between the ages of 17 and 35, be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident, and be at least a junior in high school, have a high school diploma or GED certificate. Once you meet those, you need to meet medical, physical and moral requirements. Do you meet these?
Hi National Guard Team I'm interested too to join the amazing Team I met all the requirements except the the citizenship or resident permanent Please, do they have any away to get the citizenship?
Some jobs have specific citizenship requirements, but generally, you are eligible to join if you are a U.S. citizen, U.S. National, or have a green card.
Abandon this warcrime it isnt even tradition. Traditional is the side part wich everyone got till the 1950s. You loose so many potential recruits because of this.
