Basic Training Icebreaker Week 1|| British Army | Pirbright
Ice breakers can be an effective way of starting a training session or team-building in the Army. As interactive and often fun sessions run before the main proceedings, they help Instructors / Recruits get to know each other.
First week in Pirbright :
. Intro to different departments
. Haircut
. Marching
. RFT(E)
. Intro to Pt
. Ice-breaker
. 1 night field exercise
. ETC
All opinion presented on my channel is personal opinion and I am not communicating on behalf of the Army in an official capacity.

In 2005, i was set to be an ammo tech. Passed my tests apart from the fitness. For 2 years I was trying to get fit, but I failed. When I finally was fit enough, they discovered I had a heart condition. Banned from joining any services forever. I always look at these videos to see what it may have been like! Anyway great channel. I wish I could have joined all them years ago, my life would have been very different. If anybody is looking to join up, do it. It will make you into the best version of yourself, away fro the drugs, the wasters and negative people. Join up and get the most out of life, the army will support any endevours you decide to indulge in... and that is rare in this world. Great channel mate.

So many memories taking me back to 1990 when I was a young man. For those of you just starting your training, keep your nose clean, bite your lip and dig in and give 100% at everything you do and don’t try and pull the wool over the training staffs eyes because they’ve been there and know every trick in the book and they’ll catch you out every time. Good luck to all in your new careers.

One thing I would have loved was videos of us getting contacted on fling! Or to see the chaos of being bugged out from an outside view... hopefully you do a video of it! But to all the recruits good luck! Enjoy Pirbright and although it’ll be tough you’ll miss it after you pass out! I know I do! Made some great mates and memories!

Started my basic training some 43 years ago, wouldn't have changed my 7 1/2 years in the army for anything but would rather have had the interaction that you instructors / nco's seem to have with your recruits, happy soldiers = good soldiers in my opinion, keep up this fantastic work,, very proud and secure feeling to know my family have you lot on the front line. 😁

@babatundeswana9361
@babatundeswana9361 5 лет назад
@Ligma Daniels how's that racist?
@Nikita-lj7oo
@Nikita-lj7oo 5 лет назад
@Ligma Daniels You wanna be entitled to everything huh...you first live through the struggles of a 'N' and then we see mate. I recommend you listen to the lyrics of Joyner Lucas (listen to the entire song!) - I'm Not Racist - "N*, that word was originated for you to keep us under. And when we use it, we know that's just how we greet each other . And when you use it, we know there's a double meaning under" ... You want everything a black person has the swag, the style, the culture, etc - just not the skin colour and the struggle associated with it. From your comment I can clearly see you don't have a slightest clue about it!
@Nikita-lj7oo
@Nikita-lj7oo 5 лет назад
@Babatunde Swana: Me too, and that’s one of the reasons I love this channel; Fabziy shows the real picture and the DIVERSITY of the Army. Unfortunately black soldiers don’t get the same lime lite like white people do in the army, just for example look on the British soldier magazine, the commercials etc (the official outlets in general) You’ll be lucky to see a pinch of brown or black; which does not represent the reality! So I totally understand your statement as you’re happy to see people you can relate to (which is a total human reaction to answer ‘a one legged man’ below). There is nothing racist in your statement at all and all the reaction below is just the defensiveness of white ; I’d say who the cap fit wear it 😉
@Nikita-lj7oo
@Nikita-lj7oo 5 лет назад
@@analogeit It's because you’re happy to see people you can relate to, which is a total human reaction. Example: If you were to join the let's say Chinese Army where 98% are Chinese or may be less but when their Army is being represented then let's say 100% featured soldiers are Chinese ; wouldn't you feel nice to see an Englishman who you can relate to? There is nothing racist about it, it's just the fact that people who share same culture, etc usually drawn to each other, I hope you see where I'm coming from.
@simonyip5978
@simonyip5978 5 лет назад
Nikita the number of non Chinese people in the Chinese army is tiny (maybe non at all) because very few non Chinese people can speak their language. And also because the Chinese army doesn't really want foreigners. China has completely different rules and it's not a multi cultural and diverse country unlike most European countries. The UK is different because it's a very diverse country and also a lot of the recruits are from the English speaking Commonwealth countries, because not enough British born people are interested in joining up.

It's easy mate, just write something out, main ones are Name, Age, Where you live, Who you live with, what you want to join, why you want to join, what you were doing in life before the army, hobbies and interests and most memorable moment. It doesn't even have to be factual, you can put in a few white lies if you want an extra boost to make the lads laugh - if you manage to make them laugh then you won't have any issue and they will laugh at most things. I've heard things like "My most memorable moment is when my balls dropped".. ridiculous but unexpected so gets people laughing

FabZiy everything hasn't half changed since I did my 14 weeks basic training back in 1980, I went to St georges barracks as was in Sutton Coldfield did 3 days assessment I passed everything and I surprised myself at passing my fitness at the first attempt and I only weighed about 8st 9lb, and stood at just under 5ft and lads bigger and stronger than me failed, I was given loads of bits of paper with branches of the army, I could have had the Paras, military police, infantry etc but I chose the royal Artillery and after my 3 days I went straight to depot at the Royal Artillery barracks in Woolwich, I completed my training at the second attempt as I had a couple of operations at the Queen Elizabeth hospital unexpected though so I was back squaded as it was called back then as it was called back then, I went straight to my regiment after a 2 week summer break as I passed out on the last day before the summer leave, I enjoyed every minute of it best thing I ever did as all my jobs I had from school and I didn't like them, in my time we didn't have to prepare ourselves for assessment, we also used the old SLR (self loading rifle) we also trained with SMG and GPMG great days
