I was SO STOKED when I saw this on my home page, and it was just as fun as your Living On a Prayer video! If you want to react to more Bon Jovi, Wanted Dead or Alive is a MUST. They also have some amazing love ballads (the only love songs I’ll listen to lol), some of the most iconic being I’ll Be There For You, Always, and Bed of Roses. I’d also recommend some of my personal favorites, Wild is the Wind and In These Arms.
This was the follow up (of sorts) to Livin on a prayer that they did years later, and even has the line "like Tommy and Gina, never back down" who were the two main characters in Livin on a prayer.
Bon Jovi is a legend! If you are interested, listen to "Livin' On A Prayer", "You Give Love A Bad Name" and "Always". Those are some of his greatest hits.
I am a big Bon jovi fan and there are so many great songs. Now that you have heard 'Its My Life' and 'Living on a Prayer' - have a listen to one of the their slower ballads. I recommend Bed of Roses.
Remembered watching this when it initially debut and some months later Shiri Appleby was in the Roswell TV series. It got her a lot of following being in the Bon Jovi music video which made Roswell even more fans.

This song is so so good! Loved this reaction. This song is a "spiritual sequel" to "Living on a Prayer" and even features a more modern day representation of Tommy and Gina :) Everyday, Wanted Dead or Alive are both great tracks that I'd love to see you do!
Keep The Faith is a great album of theirs - you should check out I Want You. And also Bounce is great - Open All Night is my absolute favourite song, followed by You Had Me From Hello. Both ballads but so pretty. Rock ballads I guess are my thing
Another person who also had that as their fave!! Slippery, although iconic, is not my favorite BJ album. There are so many other bangers; Dry County, Make a Memory, Devil at the Altar, Last Man Standing. Great band, great frontman and a decent human being.
Funny you mention Living On A Prayer vibes, if you didn’t catch it, there is a nod to that song in this one, as he again mentions Tommy and Gina, the same two names mentioned in Livin on a Prayer. If you’re into Bon Jovi, the song you need to check out is Wanted Dead or Alive. My all time fave by him. And a bit of a different side of his stuff.
I was a fan of Bon Jovi since late 80s, saw them live in 96 whilst at Uni. This is just a personal opinion but this was the last hit that Bon Jovi had in their own style. I found most of the things after this song came out became too commercial, they lost their own sound. Do listen to Dead or Alive from them. A classic 😎🎸

Please check out City Lights by Motionless in White. It's a very unusual and old song of theirs, there are almost no screams and it's probably one of the most beautiful songs MIW has ever written

If u check out a live Bon Jovi clip, I wouldn't recommend anything recent... he's been losing his voice of late, and Bon Jovi has not been the same since Richie Sambora (guitar) left the band... original bassist Alec John Such (who was fired in 1994) passed away recently. Just ran through like 15 of your heavier song reactions they remind me of days when I said "I'll never understand listening to that noise.". I'd like to recommend some songs by metal bands that are fully clean vocals that I think you'll like. "Sleeptalk by Dayseeker" (The vocalist Rory has a really unique voice like the singer for bad omens) "Afterlife by Holding Absence" (Another unique voice that can get very raspy) and "This Is The Time (Ballast) by NOTHING MORE" (This song has 2 short screams that are what I'll refer to as tasteful near the start of the song and then his amazing cleans and high notes take the rest of the song).
Ah.... back in the age where 16-20 year old boys actually used massive amounts of natural energy with zero awareness of risk pre-internet vegetables ;-) and things were super fun!!! Don't mind me I grew up and was that age in the 80's but this was kinda Bon Jovi's middle age crisis song kind of talking to his kids like I do to mine just in a rock song....

I don't know why, but I always find the "Basic White Girl" in your titles to be funny. Maybe that's just my fandom of self-deprecating humor. Also, I recommend checking out Wanted Dead or Alive, Keep The Faith and Dry County. Make sure it's the studio version for the latter of the three because it includes all of Richie Sambora's epic guitar playing.

Jon is a genuine Jersey boy. As far as rock musicians go maybe 2nd or 3rd favorite son. Behind Bruce Springsteen and possibly Southside Johnny Lyons as these guys have been at it a bit longer. I've seen Bruce and Southside a few times, but never Jon.
