Hi Susana, thank you for watching my video! I am using kettle steam to shape curls of the sinamay bias, it also helps to soften the material. Please be careful working with steam, keep your hands atleast 50cm high when steaming

Hi and thank you for watching my hat making tutorials! The hot water creates steam that makes sinamay straw flexible and allows it to mould into shapes easily. I am using a kettle to create steam. You can also use garment steamer or iron steamer. Whatever you have available. Hope that helps?
